Dominick circled his arm around Viona's waist. Then he kissed her forehead to calm her, but Viona couldn't stop crying as she was so surprised and happy to hear the news. So, Dominick kissed her repeatedly on the forehead, temple, cheek, and hair.
It startled Zealous as he observed Viona, who didn't reject or push Dominick. Instead, Viona leaned her head and cried on Dominick's shoulder. Then, Dominick patted Viona's back and whispered comforting words. After a few minutes, Viona was calm. She only sniffed once or twice.
Dominick saw Zealous's confusion, so he said, "You may wonder why your mother-in-law didn't react negatively against me."
Zealous nodded. "Yes, Alpha. I'm confused, indeed."
"Because she's my mate."
Zealous gasped. "What?! How …."
But then Viona smiled a little. She glanced at Dominick. "My husband, can you leave us alone, please? I want to talk with Zee about Sophia and us. I hope you don't mind."
