Sophia and John said goodbye to Viona and Dominick. Sophia promised to revisit her soon. When Sophia and John were about to leave the Valley of the Doomed, Cecily stopped them.
"Sophia, can I speak with you?" Then she added, "Alone."
"Sure." Sophia turned to see John. "Please wait for a while. I won't be long."
John nodded and squeezed Sophia's hand. He sat on a bench under a shady tree.
"Cecily, right?"
Sophia offered her hand to shake hands with Cecily. Then Cecily accepted Sophia's hand and shook it.
"Yes, I'm Cecily Haynes."
"What do you want to talk about?"
"Let's sit first." Cecily pointed to a tree. "There!"
They strolled to the tree and then sat on the bench underneath the giant tree. Cecily waved her hand.
"What a hot day!"
Sophia nodded. "Yes, it's true. So, what is it?"
