Carter stood in the hall with Asir as the other two did a rather thorough search of his room. Carter wasn't worried they were going to find anything. He was not keeping his weapon in his room. He wasn't stupid, best not to do things like that. Besides he and Tazani could be a weapon themselves.
"We know you are responsible for this, just helping the dragon hide its mistake. A beast that can't be controlled," Asir said. He said it loud enough for the other two to hear. Carter was sure that he was going to attempt to get Carter to say something in anger. He was going to have to work very hard. He'd been with master manipulators most of his life. This did not faze him.
