Carter reached without thinking as Janti managed to get a hold of Rauh's arm. Carter got a hand on Tuya's waist and pulled her back out of the way. That let Janti step between her and the man, as well as let Carter keep her to his side away from the other guards. This effectively blocked Tuya from them. Osdin held up his hands and shouted for silence at the uproar. The tension in the hall you could cut with a knife.
"How about we just take a moment and calm ourselves? This is what I am talking about, everyone is on edge. We need to keep an order…"
"Tuya has helped us far more than you!" A family member called from the small group in the hall. "If she trusts him so do we!" There was a collective agreement.
"You have no right to detain her, nor a healer that we are in desperate need of. We won't stand for it. You are wrong!" Another said and Osdin glanced about. He was close to losing this group here.
