"Always just one step behind huh?" Mason said looking at a half collapsed abandoned house. They had found their way here after stopping at the cabin that Vintas and Portia had been at. They saw the car and noted the items. They then completely destroyed the place just in case so no one else could follow. They were now here, Adina had used her sight and was following.
"It would seem that way," Draven commented and Rue was looking out into the dead stands of trees. You could hear nothing, no hum of insects, no life. The ground was dead, the soil was ruined. They all knew that darkness had been here. They were days behind what had happened and now they felt unwell in this spot and would need to leave.
