Portia felt like her mind was on overload. She was stunned to learn just how many different races and species there used to be. She was sad at the fact it sounded like many of them were now gone from this world. Not just ancient civilizations. She listened with rapt attention as Josephine talked with them. It was clear that she and her little group were holding on by just a thread with nowhere to really go.
They hated that most of them had to steal and take, versus having a place in the world to live like they used to. It was hard to hold a job when tendencies were now monitored. If you were always seen at night, you were flagged. That you'd be surprised how many normal humans were monitored just because they liked to work late shifts.
