Adina knelt there with her forehead against the shell of the egg and a gentle hold on it. Her mind was open as she used her third eye to connect with this unborn being. It was curious, ready to live and excited that it felt the other half of itself here. Not just her mate, but her soul had finally come. She had been aware that her chi was close but never near. It was strange for Adina to realize that this unborn creature had been aware of her, but she had not been aware of her.
It was bizarre to know that this being inside this egg was far older than her too but still far younger. This creature had never lived before. Adina could not sense that it had a previous life. That the clutches here might be of the first dragons that mated. They were aware on a completely different level of the world. Feeling the energy of it, this connection that was beyond understanding for most.
