The man was clearly very used to fighting, and could move like no one's business. Daniel called out for Neil to wait, to not attack but he was already moving forward. The man got Neil by the arm and twisted. Daniel lunged to stop him from breaking Neil's arm. The man let go of Neil and then grabbed Daniel instead to stop his blade. Though Daniel wasn't really aiming to stick him, something told him not too. However this energy came off of him and Daniel had those images flash before his eyes.
Unfortunately it made Daniel pause, the man went to strike Daniel. The hit probably would have knocked him unconscious but they were struck from the side by someone else. Daniel rolled away and moved to stand as the man hit the ground with Kitsune sinking claws in.
