"That is supposed to bother me? Everything dies, death doesn't scare me." Daniel's gaze was taking everything in. His mind felt like it was going to crack. He blinked when he thought that he saw the white form of something slip behind Krio and into the burned area. Then stopped and seemed to fall through the floor. No, not the floor, a grate. Looked like his mind had cracked because that wasn't a figment of his imagination he knew it. Oh how stress worked wonders. Some unseen specter showing him what was hidden.
