It's been two years since I started training in MANA enhancement, I'm now five years old wich is apparently a really big deal in this world , the other birthday's weren't celebrated, but it seems the fifth birthday is.
Anyway I'm in the garden at the back of the house training with my dad, since now I'm able to flow MANA all throughout my body so he thought it would be a good idea to start my combat training, what he doesn't know is that I already now how to somewhat fight.
Soon after that I got thrown about 2m away, I guess I'm not as good at fight as I thought
"Come on?! Is what all you got?"
My dad said as he looked down at me, and looked up at him matching the same look of Intensity
"No, not even close!"
I said getting up from the ground, then I got into a fighting stance
"I like the look in your eyes, don't disappoint me"
He said, then u charged at him as fast as I could, as I was about to throw a punch-
"OK, that's enough"
That was the voice of my mother, she's a very kind and sweet person and also vary terrifying in a good way if you understand what I'm saying
"It's time to eat"
She said walking closer to us, then she kneeled down and wiped of some dust that was on my face while training
"It's your birthday after all"
She said with a smile, I really mom's smile and want to always see her smiling, so I'm going to grow and become strong so o can protect that smile and I'm sure dad feels the same way
So we went inside, and got cleaned up after we sat at the table the food that mom had made was really good, then dad started telling me stories of him and mom as adventures, aperently that how the met and eventually got together
A few hours passed and we are enjoying our time, we here what sounds like a carriage coming towards our house
"Did 'They' come?"
My mom says while looking at dad with a concerned look on her face, this isn't good
"It seems so"
My dad says very serious, ok now you're scaring me, then he stands up and walked to the door with me and mom behind him
My dad opened the door as the carriage stopped at the gate of out front garden, it looked really fancy and was red with black on the doors and windows sills
Then a person dressed in an Butler-like outfit exited from the carriage and walked to our front door and stood in front of my father
"Sir Kelvis Arianiti, you have been summoned by the current head of the house of Arianiti with the following statement 'by the tradition and rule of the house of Arianiti every child over 5 years of age the is to be brought to the main Arianiti Compound for examination' this is a direct summons, to ignore it is the same as betrayed the house, is that clear?"
Then my father nodded and said
"Yes, it was"
The butler then bowed and said
"Then, I shall take my leave"
Well my life just got more interesting, I mean we sound like a noble house, but one thing I don't like is the 'examination'
After the Butler left we when the back inside and sad at the table
"Who was that?"
I ask looking at my father to which he lets out a sigh and then respond
"it's a long story, but in short you're an heir to a noble house a very high status one at that"
"Huh?"
It's all I could say in return, what the hell? OK an heir to a noble house, why do I have to compete with other people? They gotta be right since the current head isn't dad but I don't want to be a head of a noble house I don't want to have the responsibility
"when do we need to leave?"
Asked my mom while looking at dad, he sigh again and responded
"As soon as possible, they don't like when you take to much time to risponde to a summons"
"Alright, we're going to start packing today, but first you go get a carriage ready"
She said, my dad nodded at her then my mom went in the other room and looked at me at patted my head
"I'm sorry thus had to happen on you birthday"
He said, I just gave him a hug
"it's fine"
This is going to be really interesting, I wonder what my cousin like? Are they going to be stuck up rich kids? I hope not, then my dad spoke again
"When we go there don't tell anyone yo7 have awakened until I say, ok?"
"ok"
I simply responded, yeah it's probably a good not telling them, though it's going to be fun ti see their reactions
"Right, I'm going to get a carriage, do you want to come with me?
"Yes, please"
I said, I get to see more of the place we live in, then me and dad went to the other room to talk to her
"Me and Kein are going to get the carriage like you said"
" be careful alright"
Then me and dad walked out and went down a road that I haven't gone before, after awhile house's started to become more frequent and a bit smaller
After about twenty minutes of walking we arrived at what looked like a town center, there were people walking up and down the the road, there shops and street vendors all up and down the side of the road
The people walking around were all of different ages, and some had even weapons on them, is it common to carry around weapons here? Eh, who cares
Then we start walking down the road to a certain shop, we stopped in front of the door and I looked up and saw the sign that was hanging on above the door , it "Miral's carriages: for all your carriage needs" a bit of a long name don't you think?
We entered and a bell rang as soon a the door opened, then we heard a voice come from a door that was behind the counter that said
"be right there with just need a minute"
Dad waited at the counter, as I just went around the shop looking at all the products, there were windows frames of all different styles and shapes, little ornaments, decorations, carpets, curtains all kinds of things
"Sorry to keep you waiting"
I heard the same voice say, then I turned toward the voice and saw a who looked like he was middle-aged with a big beard, respect
"It's fine"
Dad said, then I walked to the counter, I am tall enough that have of my head can see over the counter
"Oh, is this your son"
The man said looking at me then my father
"Yes he iis"
"Hello, my name is Kein Arianiti its verynice to meet you"
I said in my most child like manner , as J extended my hand over the counter for a hand shake, then then man smiled and also extended his hand
"my name is, Mirai Senaj it's very nice to meet you to"
Then he shook my hand, and then turned to my dad
" so, what can I do for you sir Kelvis"
"I wanna by a carriage"
" for what purpose? Working on the field? Transporting goods? Farm equipment?"
"Transporting people, three to be expected for 5 day trip, with quite a lot of luggage"
There discussion continued but I got bored of listening, so I went back at looking at the other that was around
"Is that all for you sir?"
The man asked, finally they got done with their discussion about carriages
"one more thing, would you be able to also get a horse for that carriage?"
"Yes, but that would raise the price"
"It's fine"
"Then ist done, pleasure doing business with you"
They then shook hands and dad handed over the amount money needed and then we exited the store
"what about the carriage?"
"it's going to be delivered to our house"
Ohhhhhhh now I feel dumb
