Logan's POV
It was another day with Dani and Ivan and I, our first official day living in the mansion.
I remember my promise to Ivan to teach him how to swim so I decided to shift all my meetings and schedules till tomorrow, giving Dani a little time to settle in before she resumes her new job position as my secretary.
I don't know why, but I had unusual faith in her that she was the perfect fit for the job.
Maybe it was the way she takes care of her child, or something similar, I strongly believe that anybody with that much passion for something else other than themselves would also be able to channel such passion into their jobs and perform their duty perfectly.
I have a good feeling about her.
I stared at the wall on my room, where the face of the woman whom I loved the most hangs in a large frame,
My ex-girlfriend, Camille.
Dani looks almost exactly like Camille. This is unreal. I kept telling myself in amazement.
Whenever she looks at me, it sends intense shivers around my body. When she caught my eye at the club, my heart dropped, I couldn't believe my eyes, for a split second I thought it was Camille.
For the first time since Camille left, someone gave me goosebumps and made my heart skip a beat. Well, not really skipped a bit but I felt something strange, I couldn't quite describe it.
When she left I just knew I couldn't let her get out of my sight forever, I had to find her by all means.
Does this mean that despite all my efforts I still haven't gotten over Cami?
She left me to pursue her career as a model in France.
I can't help but compare the both of them whenever I see Dani. I think the resemblance ends in the facial features though, their style couldn't be more different, Camille surpassed Dani by a thousand miles.
"Logan what are you doing! Me and mama have been waiting for you." Ivan shouted banging on my door
I immediately took the towel and wrapped it around my waist to cover my future.
"Yes, I'm on my way out." I said looking at Camille's picture again before stepping out of my room.
I'm still waiting and hoping for her to comeback.
I know she still loves me.
So even if it took a few years and takes a few more, I'll wait for her.
"Finally! Did you get lost in there? You said you only wanted to grab a towel and you already spent almost a year inside." He scolded me.
A kid of six scolded me!
I stared at the child in bewilderment. Dani was right, his words are really bigger than his age.
"Where's your mom?" I just asked him
"She's already at the pool," he replied skipping all the way there.
We got to the pool and I immediately spotted Dani. She was sitting at the edge of the pool, her legs in the pool kicking gently against the water.
She bent forward towards the pool, scooped some water in her palm and poured it all over her head and face. I stood there, watching her in amazement.
She repeated this action several times and at the end of it I was positively convinced that she's crazy.
I couldn't stop the laughter that escaped my mouth.
"I think your mom is the lunatic Ivan" I said still laughing.
She heard me and turned around, giving me the death stare.
"Oh shut up! Pardon me for not trying to drown today. In case you haven't noticed, I don't know how to swim" she said as she continued what she was doing.
"I think even a blind man would notice that" I answered walking towards her
"And what's so wrong about not knowing how to swim huh? It doesn't meet up to the Revás standard?" she asked angrily leaving me completely confused. I don't know where that was coming from because I didn't imply anything close to that.
"Why are you so angry? You've been upset since last night and got offended when I asked what was wrong. Did I do something to offend you?" I asked curiously.
"Why do you care if I'm upset or angry? This is my life, and I'm allowed to have whatever emotions I feel like whenever I want to." She replied with raised eyebrows
If only she realized how silly and childish she sounded just now. Without thinking, I pushed her into the pool in one swift motion.
"You bastard! She screamed as she landed into water.
"You should loosen up a little, you're too uptight." I shouted at her while laughing hysterically
"Logan! I can't swim!" she shouted and her head disappeared into the pool.
Shit! I'm an asshole, how didn't I notice her struggling in the water and she just fucking told me she couldn't swim just minutes ago.
I took off the towel from my waist and jumped into the pool after Dani.
I realized just how expensive my joke was when I saw her unconscious body in the water
Fuck!
I carried her out of the water so fast it's a wonder I didn't slip. I didn't realize I was completely naked until Ivan's eyes widened when I came out of the pool holding his mom in my hands. I had discarded my towel when I jumped into the pool
"Turn around Ivan" I ordered. The tone of my voice must have made him realize that I was serious so he obeyed and turned around immediately without uttering a single word.
I placed Dani on the floor and began CPR immediately, after several seconds I pinched the bridge of her nose and began mouth to mouth resuscitation, she began to cough up water after a few seconds.
"Oh God! I breathed a sigh of relief as I hugged her. "Thank God you're alright!"
I had hardly gotten the words out of my mouth completely when Dani's hand landed on my cheeks in a flash.
I couldn't even argue it. I really deserved the slap.
"You really are a bastard." She said seething with anger, her eyes really red from all the water that had got in.
"I'm so sorry, I don't know what got into my head, I wasn't thinking." I said softly, hoping she would forgive me.
"Exactly! You weren't thinking" she said as she pushed me causing me to fall to the ground. She got up and walked away.
"And cover yourself up for the love of God!" She yelled as she walked into the house
I grinned, there she is, my Dani is back.
I mentally slap myself across the face when I realized that I just called her 'My Dani'
Ivan who was still turned around all this while asked "can I turn around now?"
"Sure buddy, you can" I said after wrapping myself up with my towel.
"What happened?" he asked
"I made a terrible mistake and your mom is mad at me, but don't worry, I'll make her like me again" I told Ivan as I ruffled his dark curls.
