It had been hard for Mia to deal with the fact that she had no other living relative after her father's demise, maybe it was because she was so young when she last saw her aunt, but she hadn't remembered the woman until now. So her father and his sister, her aunt Monique had severed ties with each other? It made her wonder why? What had happened between the two siblings? It must have been something huge to have them cut ties with each other.
Monique had turned to Mia, even taking one of the younger girl's hands in hers.
"I don't expect you to forgive me easily for just showing up now but I just hope you can forgive me some day," Monique spoke with a glint of hope playing in her eyes. Not saying a words, Mia jumped up, and then started to make her way out of the sitting room. A heavy sigh from Monique's throat escorted her on her way.
When Mia's door closed with a thud, Amari who had just stepped out from her bathroom quickly made her way to Mia's room in her bathrobe.
