Candy was just about to go shop for some groceries when her son and his circle barged into the house. Except his circle was not complete. Amari was clearly missing from their midst.
"Mom! Amari is gone!" Nathan blurted out and Candy knitted her eyebrows in confusion, as she looked from him to the rest of his circle that were spread out around him.
They all started to speak, all at once, trying to narrate what had happened and Candy couldn't help but feel a headache coming from how all of them speaking at once produced a jumbled sound.
"Stop!" she ordered with both her hands raised to the air and they all stopped talking.
"What happened? Tell me Nathan," she turned to her son.
"Well, we were all in the classroom when Amari's eyes suddenly became all white and she started to move towards the door. I followed her but…" he paused to draw a sharp breath.
"But the moment she stepped out the door, it was like she just…" his voice trailed off.
