Although Rozelin still felt a little awkward from her brief conversation with Hollie, the atmosphere in the living room right now was something that easily distracted her. Even though Chiara has made it clear that she doesn't want to have sex with anyone, damn it, she attacked people just for looking at her. Alex was still standing in front of her, flirting with her.
He was either the bravest man she knew, or the dumbest.
"This is for you, Gamma Chiara," Gamma took another step towards Alex, her face looking deadly and her aura radiating cold hostility.
Ignoring Chiara's vibrations, Alex staggered towards her, put on her murderous smile and took her hand, shocking everyone, including Gamma, who was tense with her movement. Alex bent down and kissed the top of her hand, his eyes never leaving hers, and he said in a stifling voice, "Well, Gamma.. I'll follow you everywhere."
Chiara withdrew her hand, her face darkened, she changed her shock expression as if she had finally regained her senses, and slapped her face. The sound was loud in the quiet, tense room.
She pointed her finger at him and said menacingly, "If you touch me again, I'll cut your balls off."
"Darling, if you wanted me to undress, you just had to ask," she winked.
"I think he likes me.. What do you think, Rozelin?" Alex turned to her with a cheeky smile on her face.
"I think you're going to lose your balls," Rozelin replied dryly before nodding at him. She was beginning to wonder if the shapeshifter had really lost his mind in that cell.
Alex knelt down next to Rozel, her eyes wild with excitement, "I like a challenge."
"Seriously, Alex. I would quit," said Nairi hesitantly, as if he wanted to say more, but stopped and looked at his drink, taking a hesitant sip.
"Just because our loved ones are dead doesn't mean we won't love again," said Alex, not speaking specifically to anyone while playing with her hair. "That would be a tragic life," he muttered.
"We?" ' asked Rozelin, studying her face carefully. The face, which was always smiling and looked as if the world didn't care at all, darkened. Even in the hunter's darkest moments in his base camp, Alex was their annoying light and kept their spirits high. At this moment, though, Rozelin frowned as Alex's green eyes filled with sadness. But like pressing a button, her pain was replaced by her usual smile. It was as if he had put a mask on his face, covering the pain inside him.
"Did you like filming? I had the butler buy us some popcorn," she ignored my question and changed the subject.
"I actually thought I was going for a run," Rozelin replied, deciding to quit for now. She didn't want to force him if he didn't want to talk about it.
"I'll join you then," Alex jumped off the sofa.
"Me too, if you have me?" Nairi asked meekly.
Rozelin and Alex laughed at her stupid question. "Of course you can. This is a free country. Besides, it would be nice to run with another she-wolf. Very quiet with Alex," Rozelin said as she pulled herself off the couch.
"I'm just checking!" cried Nairi.
The three of them started walking towards the patio door. "You know, I think I can talk about this with my mom," Rozelin interrupted, speaking her thoughts out loud.
"About what?" ' asked Nairi.
"Alexin to see if there's a spell to connect us with," said Rozelin, looking at Ajax as she opened the patio door for them.
The couple looked at him with wide eyes. Alex stepped forward and put his hand on her shoulder, "Look, I know I have a sexy voice.
"Shhh, shhh. Sorry Rozelin. But it doesn't have to be that way." He turned and staggered away.
Rozelin looked at Nairi, speechless at the shameless shapeshifter. Nairi had a fit of giggles until a man's scream resounded through the mansion, stopping all three of them.
"I think it's Darren.." Rozelin muttered.
Alpha Damo's deep voice came through a mind link and told them not to worry. Rozelin knew that he only spoke to the pack members in the house. Everyone was at home now.
"I think Alpha Damon and Beta Kane will take some time," Nairi added.
Alex looked at them in surprise, "Is it Darren then?"
Rozelin raised her hands in the air, "That's what I mean! That's right! We're going to see my mom after I see Hollie on Saturday."
Alex took a step back, "I don't know how I feel about this.. Witches.. spells.."
A look from her rosé and the shapeshifter closed her mouth and raised her hands in surrender. He then continued walking towards the forest, watching the sun begin to set and the day slowly turning into night. When she got close to the first few trees, she hid behind someone to take off her clothes and put them in a bag that she started to leave.
Rozelin felt Malia start pacing in her mind, her patience waning as Rozalin took off her underwear. In the next second, the wolf tore its skin off and peered under Rozel's nose at her huge white furry paws. Rozelin gladly let Malia take the reins. Rozalin took time to reflect on her friend's strange behavior as she rushed into the darkening forest.
However, after his brain had warmed up for another five minutes from thinking so much, he gave up and savored the bliss of being let loose. Rozelin had a strange feeling that something sinister was going to happen to them soon, and little moments like chasing a panther in the jungle and overcoming a red wolf were treasures. And back at the mansion, she would enjoy her moments with Damon because even though Damon was only leaving for the weekend, she was afraid of being without him.
Damon washed his hands in the sink on the counter in the basement. Clear water ran down his hands and fell into the red-painted drain. He picked up the bar of soap on the side, making sure to thoroughly clean his hands. He didn't plan on getting Darren's blood on him, but after a few more hours of interrogation, Delta finally exploded as Damon Beta Kane and Frank watched him from afar as he tortured him with silver and wolfsbane.
Even though the traitor had already given the names of the thirteen, Damon was not satisfied. They were dead and he knew they had no brains. it was Lydia; Even Darren was just a pawn in his game. But just because Darren was crazy didn't mean his knowledge was useful. He started shouting nonsense, then told them he already knew, the woman didn't.
Lydia told Darren she just wanted him to know. She only told him when he wanted something done by him, and in return they bonded. A sweet deal and a sweet ride. Darren's words, not his.
But that's all, Darren has just gathered followers for Lydia and they gather as a group around Lydia's house to find ways to make life difficult for Rozelin. None of this involved his death. That's what Darren told them, but Damon didn't believe it one bit. He was just a tool and he just listened with his dick.
However, when Darren confessed the only information he knew, he began to insult Roseline. I mean, she still seemed to have a problem with being her Queen. After the second line of insult came out of Darren's mouth, that's when Damon lost it and it hurt.
Damon turned and looked at his craft. He never liked torturing people, but sometimes something had to be done to get results. But when Darren openly insulted his wife, that was all. And now she leaned against the counter, wiped her hands with the cloth Beta Kane had given her, and looked at Darren.
He was chained to the wall, his white shirt soaked in his own blood, the scars from the silver chains around his neck and the silver earrings pierced into his earlobe made the scene eerie. His blood had spattered to the floor, the skin around his eyes was bruised and swollen enough that they wouldn't open. He lowered his head, barely keeping his body afloat.
"Keep him here until Saturday morning. By then, his wounds will heal," Damon ordered Beta Kane, "go to bed. Frank, come with me."
Damon turned and started walking, with Frank following behind him.
"I'm on patrol tonight," Kane replied, closing his briefcase on the counter and putting it back in the locker.
"Oh yes. Okay, make sure you keep someone on watch outside the basement," Damon advised her. He didn't want to take any risks, including when Gabriel reappeared and killed Darren or he tried to escape. But the latter didn't seem like a possibility, Darren still wanted to be Delta, and for now he was.
As they leave the basement, Damon and Frank are outside the basement.
They broke up with Kane, who was keeping watch.
"Well done, Frank. How are you feeling?" Ante asked, looking at Frank, who was walking beside him in one of the mansion's many hallways.
Frank looked at her confused, "Thank you. I'm fine. Shouldn't I be?"
Damon chuckled, "Considering how long he was tortured by Hunters?"
Frank nodded, "Oh, I see, it was fine. It's a job, nothing more. There's no pleasure in torturing someone. And I can see you're not enjoying it, so I'm doing fine. It."
"Would there be a problem if I did?" ' Damon asked, scrutinizing Frank as they stood in front of his office.
Frank faced her directly, "Yeah, Alpha. I wouldn't follow someone like that."
The corner of Damo's lips curled up in a small smile, "Well, I'm glad I'm not like that. Otherwise this conversation could have turned into your unknowing challenge."
Frank blinked in surprise, "Alpha, I didn't mean-"
Damon raised his hand and opened the door, gesturing for Frank to come in, "I know this doesn't mean anything." He closed the door, turned on his lamp, returned to his desk and sat down.
"But the point is, Frank. I want you to be my next Delta," Damon continued; He reached into one of his desk drawers and picked up a pitcher of whiskey and two crystal glasses and set them on his desk.
Frank shifted in his seat, then reached for the glass Damon had pushed toward him. He took a sip and held it in his hand as he sat back and waited for the Alpha to continue. Damon sipped his own juice and savored the taste in his mouth before resting in his leather armchair, looking at Frank. He loved the man, that much was decided, and after taking advice from his wolf, Frank knew he was the next man to become the Delta of the pack.
"And when you're Delta, you also need to know how to talk to different Alphas. Now Darren isn't going anywhere with me. He's never been. I don't even see him as one of my leaders of this pack. He's just a fill-in, and although he may seem like a guard position for your rosé, he's not. .
"When Roselin becomes Queen, she'll be by my side, and it's cold here in the flock and in my lands, but when I meet the other packs, host a damn ball, or do something we nobles have to do.. I need you to play a more important role than her bodyguard. The .Delta position is still an important position, not only do you have to be on the alert all the time to protect it and not just you, you also have to talk to the scumbag Alphas and werewolves.
"And to do it without insulting them or causing a problem such as challenging them. Because at the end of this, if you win, then I have to officially take over that pack. And if you lose, which means your death, then rozelin will have your friend and other lost some form of protection and I would officially take over that herd," Damon finished his statement with a drink of whiskey and looked expectantly at Frank.
Frank's eyes were wide open and Damon could see his mind was absorbing everything he had just said. Or whiskey came to mind and he couldn't think straight. He was very strong.
"I see, Alpha. Thank you and thank you for accepting me for the role of Delta. But what about Darren? You made it clear you couldn't get rid of him," Frank asked.
Damon smiled, "I can't get rid of him. But you can."
"You want me to challenge him?" Understanding exactly what Antenna was asking of him, Frank asked something the Alpha liked.
"Challenge him. But if an opportunity arises, then take him out." Antenna's eyes gleamed dangerously at what he was suggesting.
Frank took a moment to digest what he meant, taking another sip of whiskey as he did so. He tapped the rim of the glass, "So you want me to kill him like a hit man?"
Damon laughed heartily at Frank's choice of words, "Yeah. That's exactly what I meant."
"I guess it might come sooner than you think," Frank replied, looking intently at Damon.
Damon squinted his eyes and tilted his glass to the side, taking another sip of his drink, motioning for him to continue, pouring another glass for himself, and Frank leaning forward to refill his glass.
"Thanks. Darren is being released on Saturday, and he's Delta right now. Rozelin is meeting someone then, so Darren will have to come. I've already agreed to go with him, and so is Alex. He looked worried. He said his friend looked uncomfortable," Frank said. explained some of his earlier anxiety.
Antenna's face hardened with this new knowledge,
Frank nodded, "He said he was just a friend."
Damon sighed. This was exactly what he needed; Why didn't Rozelin reason with him? He wasn't going to be there when he met this friend, and he even asked Frank and Alex for extra protection. He didn't like it at all and knew he would talk to his little friend after we finished this meeting.
"Thanks for telling me, Frank.I have no choice but to breed and see Darren as his Delta..." He paused as his mind began to spin as a plan, "Frank. Take one of my pistols. Saturday with you. Do you know how to shoot?"
Frank nodded, "Yes."
"Good. Take the gun as extra protection. We only have silver bullets here."
Finn concluded Damon's sentence by saying, "Get Darren out."
"Exactly."
Damon watched Frank's features darken. Damo's chin began to tickle, he could see something was on his mind, something Frank didn't want to speak loudly for fear of disrespecting him.
"Spit it out," Damon demanded.
Frank grimaced and threw back the last piece of whiskey, surprising Damon, who was trying not to laugh when he saw Frank's eyes watering.
"With all due respect, Alpha. But Rozel's protection is very important. You haven't seen how it is before. I guess getting rid of Darren will have to wait," Frank said hastily.
Damon slammed his hand on the table, "All I care about is the protection of your rosé, Frank." His eyes were shining now, and Damon tried to keep Darius away, but the wolf took over and growled in his voice, "Darren is putting him in danger. He needs to be taken care of. It's an order."
Frank immediately shrugged, "Alpha."
Damon returned his eyes to normal and let Darius move forward in anger. She knew Frank was only interested in her rosé, but it angered her that Damon didn't think she was thinking about her safety. He stood up and left the room, waiting for Frank to follow.
"So we got a deal?" He asked. Frank nodded.
"Good, now if you'll excuse me, I need to see my wife." Damon snapped and walked down the hall.
