Chapter 8 - EP8

Rozelin stopped, but continued to follow Kane, a confused expression on her face, after looking back over her shoulder.

"There's more than just an Alpha and Beta as a pack leaders. Only Gamma and Delta remain, if not very many. But as long as we're not busy, we tend to have dinner together. We stay at the Pack house. It's kind of like family." Kane shrugged as he led her past the kitchen into a large dining room with a large window that overlooked another part of the mansion.

Modern art hung on the opposite wall, with a crystal chandelier hanging low above the long dining table that could fit twenty people. Kane pulled a chair from the far end of the table and motioned for him to sit, but he chose the spot between Alex and Frank, causing Beta to harden and take a deep breath. Rozel's attention then shifted to the two women who entered the room.

The first was a woman of roséline-like height, with curly brown hair falling over her shoulders in beautiful waves, and charming dark eyes and olive skin. She smiled at Kane before jumping next to him and kissing him on the lips.

Their hard features immediately softened as they sat facing each other, still staring at each other affectionately. Malia pretended to be sick, causing Rozelin to roll her eyes; He found it sweet for Beta to have one, but felt they were polar opposites. However, his attention instantly shifted to the second woman sitting across from him.

She was tall and thin. If it weren't for her athletic build, Rozel would have guessed she was a supermodel with her short black short hair, dark blue eyes, and stunning face. The only "spots" that interrupted his normally smooth skin were the two scars. The first was a cut claw mark on his neck, and the other was a scar that started from his eyebrow and curved down to the lower part of his eye. It wasn't just her looks that made her look, but the intimidating aura she projected.

"He must be a warrior or something. I'm afraid to keep staring at him. Men love the way he looks but the 'evils' he gives them almost make them pee in their pants!" Malia cried out in a whisper, afraid that the woman might perceive her words. Rozelin snickered silently at her wolf.

The woman nodded as she began to cut the roasted meat in the middle of the table. The brunette held out a hand to shake her hands before smiling broadly at Rozelin. "Hey Rozelin, my name is Nairi, I'm Kane's friend. It's a pleasure to meet you. Buddha Chiara-"

"Gama Chiara," the stunning woman named Chiara interrupted.

"Nice to meet you both. This is Alex and Frank." He gestured to the men beside Rozel. Nairi and Gamma smiled politely at Chiara, but she was not interested in small talk as Gamma once again went to cut the meat. The men sitting next to him were also absent as they had their plates piled up again.

Rozelin began to do the same with a shrug, but Damon wondered if she would show up. But he hadn't guessed, given that Kane didn't order anyone to wait. She felt relief that she couldn't face him yet, and even if she did, she wasn't sure if she could hold back from punching him in the face or wanting more.

"There's not much of a dilemma there, Rozelin, you'd definitely jump over your bones." Malia chuckled, causing Rozelin's wolf to sigh. It was almost as bad, or possibly worse.

As Rozelin took a bite of her food, another figure she knew from the day they rescued her entered the room and collapsed into a chair next to Gamma Chiara. The red-haired man taking off his silver chains. He glanced at her before placing some mashed potatoes on his plate.

Darren, there was a warning in Kane's voice. The red-haired man rolled his eyes, causing him to growl at Kane's disrespect.

"Yes, yes. We've already met. Rozelin, all you need to know about me is I'm Delta, Delta Darren, and I'm not taking orders from you."

Gamma Chiara dropped the cutlery on her plate; The sound made everyone stop and stare at him. His cold gaze fixed on Delta. She grinned at him, causing her to smile and wave her eyelashes at him, before taking the steak knife and stabbing it into her outstretched hand; The force was strong enough for the blade to pierce the muscles and stick it to the table below.

She screamed in pain as the knife flew out of her hand and blood dripped from the table. Rozelin and the children sat in amazement, eyes wide as they stared between the couple. Gamma stood up and grabbed him by the dress shirt and brought her face close to his.

"Do I need to teach you some more manners?" He growled in his face, his voice chirping like an animal's. Delta Darren nodded.

"Fine. Next time I'll aim for your balls," Gamma Chiara's come-smile at me sent a chill down Rose's spine. Delta Darren's face faded as his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. Gamma Chiara turned her head to look over her shoulder, Rozelin winked as she walked out the double door and shouted down the halls, "Da

I'll help mon and the others."

"I LOVE IT," Malia applauded the act of violence displayed at the dinner table.

"Of course you are," Rozelin grimaced as she watched Delta Darren pull the knife from her hand. She looked at Kane to see that she wasn't interested in the events at the table, and she went back to talking affectionately to her friend.

"Was that in your bag?" Rozelin drank from a glass of water, confusing Frank.

He looked away from Delta Darren, who had snapped his big eyes and rushed out of the room without saying anything but Delta Darren, "I know leaders are less tolerant of disrespect, but even that was a bit extreme."

"I meant the eating together thing," Rozelin replied carelessly. She has long since walked away from the scene that just happened. But he knew that if this scene had preceded him two weeks ago, he would have acted in a completely different way.

Frank looked at him like he was crazy, but he looked back and played with his food to avoid arousing suspicion about their secret conversation. However, if others focused on them, they could tell from their slightly misty gaze that they were in a mental thread.

"I think so too. I wasn't from any of the leading families, so I didn't stay in the herd shed," he said, taking a bite of the meat from his plate.

"Cargo?" Rozelin questioned him loudly, which caused Alex to cast a glance between the two.

"This is herd house rozelin," Kane interrupted, "if you want to read more about werewolves, you should go to the library."

Alex grumbled, "Yeah, you can find a lot of fictional books about that,"

"I meant the home library," Kane gritted his teeth in annoyance. Alex raised an eyebrow at her comment but didn't say anything else.

Rozel had completely forgotten that there was a library at home. She recalled an early memory of her childhood sitting on her mother's lap in front of the big fireplace. Rozelin read a book while her mother played with her hair. The memories brought some tears to her eyes, and she threw herself from the table to go back to her room.

Halfway up the stairs she felt her hood pull back and she crashed into a hard chest. Looking up, she found a pair of emerald cat eyes staring at her before hugging her.

"What is this for?" she whispered to his chest.

"You looked like you needed a hug, sweet peas. I know it's a lot, but remember that Frank and I have to keep secrets. You don't need to put everything on your shoulders," Alex said sincerely. Rozelin looked up at him and smiled, grateful to have found a friend like Alex, even under uncomfortable circumstances.

"Ahem," Kane interrupted the separated couple with a fake cough. Rozelin felt the warmth in Kane's eyes on her face.

"Alpha Damon won't be pleased with this little display of affection," Kane scolded through his mind connection.

"Fuck the alpha. He doesn't control me." He spat before going to his room. He heard her growl as he closed the door behind him.

"I hope it doesn't come back to her," Malia said wearily; For once, there was no sarcastic or funny comment. Actually, the wolf was a little afraid of the Alpha. As with the wolf hierarchy, if he moves out of line too much and is no longer injured, then Alpha could do some potentially serious damage to replace him.

"Kane probably told him he was a good little lap dog," Rozelin muttered to him. Leaning against the door, he was sighing; he threw himself on his bed and looked at the white canopy above the bed.

She didn't know how long Rozel could get away with it, but she could tell she would never hurt him like the first day she met him. As he thought about it, a crease formed between his eyebrows; There was something like an itch in the back of his mind. Here's some information to help him better understand his relationship with Alpha. But for now, he had to spend one more day seeing her before his body and mind melted.

For the rest of the evening, Rozelin's frustration grew and she became so restless that she stared out of her window at the dark environment and longed to go out again. However, Damon didn't know what had happened to the new wolves in their area as he sent a packet of mindlinks to each member informing them to stay inside.

A long sigh escaped her lips as she looked outside once more, this time as she watched the guards change their shifts. Rozelin began to feel a little confined, as if she had changed a prison without the more luxurious brutality. His eyes then fell on his own reflection in the window; His face turned sour as he saw his eyes begin to glow from the simmering anger he felt beneath him.

She walked to the closet to turn around and see if there was any clothing she could use to sleep in. As soon as the doors opened, she saw several pieces hanging from her body.

"Now that sounds a little too familiar," Malia grinned, reminding her of the one-day room in the hunter's base camp. Rozelin grumbled to herself as she took a shower.

When she goes out, her hair is wet and draped over the silky pajamas she's wearing.

was shrinking. A knock on the door caught her attention and prevented her from drying her hair with a towel. He tensed for a moment, believing it might be Damon, then shook his head in denial. If he wanted to see her, he would come in. When he opened the door, he was surprised to see his mother at the door. Rozelin motioned for him to enter before closing the door behind him.

"I heard the wolf turn and you fidgeted," his mother suddenly turned to look at him, concern in her voice and face.

Rozelin smiled gently, hoping to relieve her mother's distress. While she didn't know why her mother was worried, she knew that after two days of wolfsbane injections, the next phase would change for her. Her mother sat on the sofa and gestured for Rozelina to join. After she sat in that chair, her mother stopped looking at the room and gave her full attention to her daughter.

"Rozelin, dear. We're going home tomorrow," she said solemnly to him.

However, Rozelin did not quite understand what her mother meant; frowning, "Can't we stay a little longer? There's a lot I need to know before I go back—"

"Rozalin," her mother interrupted, taking her hands in hers and rubbing her thumbs soothingly over hers, "you can't come with us. You have to stay here. It's not safe for you to be in Oakton anymore."

Rozel's eyes widened, "But how can it be safe for you? Shouldn't you stay here too?"

"We're doing just fine there. The Pack is still working there, and Damon has guaranteed more fighters on patrol. The Hunters don't know who we are, so they won't attack us." Her mother held up her hand, preventing Rozel from interrupting, "This is your place. You are a Cross, and when you find your way, you will rule like a true queen."

Queen!?

Rose's eyes widened as she swallowed. Malia rolled her own eyes at him; she was pumped and ready to take on the role, she.

"Oh honey, don't look at it that way. It's in your blood. You'll find your own rule of thumb, and once you meet your mate, they'll be strong enough to rule by your side," Her mother clasped her hands reassuringly.

Rozelin nodded sullenly, contemplating becoming queen and ruling not just one, but many. Was it as simple as it was in his blood? Sure, he was the captain of the ice hockey team at the University, but this was a team of six players at a time, not hundreds or thousands.

The rest of her mother's words recorded to her, "What is it like?"

Her mother looked at her confused, so Rozelin repeated, "What's it like meeting your wife? I understand you're your father's friend. He's still a werewolf."

Her mother smiled before looking to the side, her eyes softening with the loving memory, "Yes, your father is my friend. He was the first werewolf I met. I knew about them, of course. Grandma had a lot of spellbooks and books about them."

She chuckled to herself, causing her to smile at the thought of Rozelin's grandmother and her strange behavior.

"I was at the mall with my friends. While I was going to buy coffee, they went into another shop, I didn't look where I was going and we bumped into each other. It was almost like fate. When our eyes met, the others seemed to have disappeared. It took my breath away. Everything seemed to fall into place, and then this man was the person I was supposed to marry. I know it's you," Rosalina's eyes lit up. She had never heard the story of how they met before.

"This looks like something out of a romance..." Rozelin interrupted Malia with a nod of approval.

Her mother chuckled, "Well, it wasn't fate at all! I later found out that she was sniffing me as soon as I entered the center. She didn't wait for a second and hit me on purpose."

Both Rozelin and her mother burst out laughing, "This is so typical of her! She's so impatient."

"Once she smelled my scent, she said there was no going back. She had to meet me. That was all she thought about." Her mother smiled again, before looking at her rosé. "Are you worried about meeting your partner?"

Rozelin sighed, "I almost met him, but Kane got in my way and then Damon..." Her cheeks burned and she looked away from her mother, hoping she wouldn't see it. Malia grinned at his embarrassment.

"So, have you seen Alpha Damon already?" Before she could worry, her mother's eyes widened with excitement, her brows knitted together, "This can't be right. I thought it would be..." She muttered to herself before closing her lips.

"I didn't really see him. I just… felt him. I mean, I felt his presence there. It was too dark to see him," stammered Rozelin; She looked at her nails, playing with them as if they were more interesting than butterflies fluttering in her stomach as she talked about her date with the Alpha.

Malia was roaring with laughter now, the noise almost too loud for Rozel to listen. She rolled her eyes at him and muted him as her mother spoke again, "Oh! So you didn't make eye contact at all?"

"No, your daughter was more interested in what her hands were doing than seeing her beautiful eyes," he snickered, causing Rozel to bite her lip, making her wolf's obscene look.

He let out a small chuckle from his cheek.

Still, Rozelin was now focused on her mother, her eyes glowing with unargued excitement. Rozelin squinted, "No, we never made eye contact," each word said slowly, doubt in her voice, "why dear mommy?"

"No reason! Oh, look at the clock! I have to pack my suitcase," her mother jumped from the sofa in self-forgiveness. Rozelin wanted to ask more when her mother acted very strangely, but she resisted the urge. She always knew more than she said, and now she knew that Rozelin's mother was a witch. She didn't want to put pressure on him unnecessarily.

His mother walked towards the door and stopped abruptly; He turned around and took Rozel in for a hug. She pulled back and her eyes looked into the features of her rosé, "You're much stronger than I thought. What a strong and brave girl.."

"Mom.." Rozelin moaned playfully, "See you in the morning before I go."

"Yeah! Don't be late! We have lives too, you know. We have to go back to the shop and open it again." Her mother turned and closed the door behind her.

He owned a cute bookstore called "The Occult" where his family would happily sit and read for hours. There was also a small coffee shop inside, which, along with the quirkiness of the shop, attracted many customers. Her mom liked to 'play' witches to new clients or customers who didn't know what book they were looking for. He hadn't noticed the funny side of it until now. She had anticipated that this would add to the store's many appeals, she had anticipated.

As part of a 'ritual', her mother would ask the client to pick up three prominent gems. When they showed him the stones, she would find five books that might interest them. Nine out of ten trips the customer would pay for all five. Rozelin never thought of this because her mother always said that each stone represented something that showed what they were looking for. Either way, she was a little creepy, she.

Rozelin went back to her bed and climbed under the covers. All she needed was a distraction to talk to someone and her frustrations had melted away. However, Damon almost flared up in his thoughts and became restless once again, almost to the point of discussing getting out of bed to look for him. He could still smell it and knew it wasn't from his clothes; He sighed and turned to his side.

"Well, tonight will be a pleasure," Malia said sarcastically. She was starting to get bored too.

The next day, Rozelin pulled herself away from the twisted sheets wrapped around her legs. Her hair was tangled with her arm wrapped around one of the pillows. He groaned before yawning and reaching out. His night consisted of rendezvous, thoughts flickering between Damon, meeting with the leaders, leaving his mother and returning once more to Damon.

Although she couldn't sleep properly, the natural light from the windows easily woke her up. Rozelin began to think that was the best way to get up; she really didn't miss sounding the alarm, she. Despite Malia complaining about her choice, she jumped out of bed and quickly put on black jeans and a blouse. This meant that he wouldn't move for a while.

"I can't live in sportswear all the time," Rozelin said back to her wolf, guessing that her parents were having coffee as she left her room and went down to the kitchen. As She walked down the hallway to the living room, she glanced at the clock next to her and read that it was 7 in the morning. As she had guessed, her parents sat on stools on the island with glasses, two suitcases with them.

Surprisingly, Gamma Chiara was standing before them with her own glass in her hand. Roseline nodded before her eyes clouded over, indicating that she was making a mind connection with someone. He looked up at Rozelin's parents, eyebrows raised.

"Gama Chiara was kind enough to escort us to Oakton," her father exclaimed, before taking another sip from his cup.

"This is beautiful…" Rozelin looked at the woman in front of her cautiously as she sat down next to her family.

"It gives me a chance to explore the environment. The Hunters haven't appeared yet, but there are still bandits sneaking past us. I'll be back when I know the area is safe and we can start your training," Gamma Chiara said before examining Rozel's body.

"Education?" Rozelin blinked in shock, feeling uncomfortable under Gamma's gaze as she crossed her arms over her chest. She should have known that the next training would be on the agenda. Rozelin now had her wolf and had to lead it. How could she lead others if she couldn't even take care of herself?

"Yes," Gamma Chiara took a few keys and walked away without adding more to the conversation, "Shall we meet outside in ten minutes?" His question was directed to his parents. They nodded in return for Gamma Chiara continuing to walk away.

After a comfortable silence as her parents took their last sip of their coffee, they stood up and began walking backwards from the living room. Her father was carrying both suitcases while Rozel's arm was tied to her mother's. Unlike himself and the other wolves he'd seen, his mother was more of average height and of a petite build; She rested her head on Roselee's shoulder as they continued through the double doors leading to the front of the net.

Her parents hugged her, her father hugged her tightly, too tight for her to breathe. She released him with an apologetic smile, "This decision was not taken easily. I hope you know that, girl. My job as your father is to protect you at all times, even if you have a huge army at your disposal. But you have to learn what it's like to be a werewolf, to be a Cross, and it's a pity. "While you and your parents were best friends, we left the herd years before the attack. Our knowledge is limited."

"We can't help you with this part of your journey, but you'll be fine," her mother added, her eyes filled with tears as she took Rozel's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.

Just then, four black SUVs appeared in a row. Gamma Chiara walked around the second car and leaned indifferently as she waited for their goodbyes.

"We're going to miss you so much! Phone us whenever you can. The Swarm mind connection is trying so hard to contact me from this distance. We need to know you're safe!" His father cried out as lines of worry formed on his forehead. With a quick hug, she picked up more bags and started putting them in the car before opening the door for her mother and getting in the car.

Rozelin said goodbye to her parents; His chest tightened as he saw the cars getting smaller and further away, they made their way down the long road that led them to the door, and then disappeared. For a few more minutes she stood there, she wasn't sure what to do next.

Before Rozelin entered the mansion, she turned around and climbed the stairs. He took a few steps that echoed across the marble floors, closing the huge double doors behind him. Even though others were living with him in the mansion, he felt lonely in that moment of silence.

"I'm alone for now. Not for long! I'm pretty sure Damo will find us about our 'bad' behavior last night," Malia snickered, interrupting Rozel's thoughts; she grinned at her wolf and, taking a light step, she started walking again. When Damon was mentioned, she decided to go out to the balcony to see what kind of training she would pursue.

"More like seeing how Alpha flex her muscles," Malia interjected excitedly. Rozelin rolled her eyes; She knew it was in her wolf's mind more than her own.

Despite observing how Malia behaved differently from the previous night. The wolf was both excited and frightened by the Alpha and its dominant dominance. He waited for Malia to raise her voice, but she remained silent for once, making she even more suspicious of what the wolf's wolf was thinking. Malia somehow distracted Rozel from her thoughts; She nodded before she even went into how this works.

As she walked past her room, loud footsteps running behind her made her nervous and she jumped quickly, her hands clenched into fists, ready in a combat position, relieved to see Rozelin, Alex, and Frank laughing in front of her. .

"Good reflexes, but did you think we were going to rob you or something?" Frank chuckled again at her reaction before searching her eyes.

"I really didn't know what to expect," Rozelin admitted, pulling some of her silver hair from her face and pulling it behind her ear.

Alex tilted his head, amusement flashed in his eyes, "Where were you going so early in the morning?" she asked.

"To see what workout I'm going to do. What do you think?" As he stared at the pair, covered in already dried mud, doubt came into his voice.

Alex nudged Frank with his elbow and rubbed his side, causing him to glare at him.

"We'd also see how the herd moves—"

"Were we?"

"Do you mind if we join you?" Alex ignored Frank's word and spoke confidently. Rozelin looked between the two of them, somewhat confused as to why they were covering up their swapping. "Sure, why not," he replied, shrugging, in an indifferent tone.

Rozelin turned around and started walking towards her parents' bedroom.

"Shouldn't we go to the garden?" ' asked Frank, a mixture of surprise in his voice. Rosalin looked up and turned to see her hand pointing behind her. He nodded and motioned for them to follow him; Alex and Frank looked at each other before following him.

"There's a better view from my parents' balcony," Rozelin said as she made her way to her parents' bedroom. She watched as they hung their mouths on the luxury suite.

"I keep forgetting that you are royal. This room befits a royal!" Alex held his breath in awe, his eyes widening in surprise. As Rozelin opened the balcony doors, she let them realize how big the room was. The sun immediately warmed her skin; He closed his eyes for a moment, absorbing his rays. Forget the weight of your worries for that one moment, she. Rozelin frowned at Alex before sighing and walking to the end of the balcony, until a hand was placed on her shoulder, disturbing her peace. She leaned against the surface once more, staring at the herd members arguing and fighting fiercely. Rozelin immediately searched for Damon and found him further away, as she walked with her arms folded and turned to him, commenting on the forms and techniques of each training partner.

Rozelin took a deep breath after slightly bending her torso to control another fighting duo. He had a long, bright red scar running from his "v" muscle to his ribs. A scowl appeared between his eyes as he realized that it was probably a brand new scar from the previous night. She wondered what really happened the night before. After looking at a few men, it was clear that it had been a rough night.

"You're frowning again!" Alex gave her a flick on her forehead, causing her rosé to stare at her, "Wow, what's keeping you so busy?"

"It looks like the pack was pretty worn out last night. I want to know more about what's going on." Rose's face hardened as she continued to observe the other pack members before she stared back at Alpha.

"Oh, I wouldn't worry about him. He's an Alpha for a reason. He's not easily beaten." Alex grinned as his eyes lingered on Damon.

"From what I heard, it was a couple of thugs causing trouble," Frank advised, cautiously, Frark's voice. Rozelin knew she didn't want the other pack members to listen to their conversation, but she assured them that if they whispered, they wouldn't be able to hear them. He nodded at her in response, leaning further forward to watch the practice.

All three stayed for two hours to watch the training session.

Rozelin was immersed in the different techniques she expected she would learn. Frank and Alex began wrestling on the side, near the finish, nearly smashing the plant pot standing in the corner of the balcony. Rozelin was quick to scold them, causing them to stop their game wars. Rolling her eyes, she turned around and prepared to leave until something caught her eye.

The training session is over, but some women have stopped to gather around Damon, gushing over him and asking questions that even Rozelin knows the answer to. "They'd better back off," Malia said with pure envy.

Even though Rozel's eyes pierced the back of Damo's head, she calmly replied to her wolf, "He's not ours and they're all harmless."

Malia, not one bit convinced of Rozel's logic, sneered at her response. The only person he could not lie to was the wolf; She felt whatever she felt, and she was just the wolf expressing herself in her own way. But she knew that Rozel's feelings were unreasonable.

Alex whistled appreciatively, his eyes looking at someone in particular. Rozelin followed his line of sight and saw a striking woman with long raven hair that came down in curls to her waist. She recalled that Kane had lectured her earlier about not tying her hair up after it was caught and pulled to the ground, She recalled.

Like the other females surrounding Damon, she had a lot of bare skin. But this woman who lurched towards him, pushing others as she went, wore the shortest and tightest shorts and a tiny sports bra that made her presence stand out even more. He had an incredible body that every woman would dream of. Even Rozelin looked at him with admiration.

"How sticky," Malia snarled. Rozelin was about to scold him, until her face was close to his, until she clearly touched Damon's scar. Rose's lips twitched with excitement.

"Roseline!" Frank shook him abruptly.

He looked at her, winking, confused. He followed his gaze up to his arm, and where his arms were now crossed, he noticed that his nails were growing and piercing his skin. Blood started dripping from his hands. Taking a deep breath, he calmed his anger at the woman and retracted his claws.

"Looks like they're trying to lay claim to the Alpha before you barge in," Alex joked, but his smile dropped when he saw Frank and Rozel's gaze.

Rozelin turned her back on the scene, unaware that Damo had turned when he heard her name and what Alex had to say.

"Alphas tend to get a lot of attention until they mate." Frank rubbed his shoulder up and down comfortingly over the now-healing wound. She then stared at him as her eyes began to shine with a low growl that spilled from her lips. She looked back at him and could see the wheels turning behind her eyes as an idea popped into her head, "Unless you and Damon are partners?"

Rozelin sneered and looked at Alex, who was putting on a knowing smile. He frowned and looked at Frank, "Oh, good one. You almost had me there! We've already met. I'm sure you'll be 'claiming' me by now." He murmured, then pushed himself off the balcony and into the bedroom door.

"You met before your wolf came...remember, their changing powers were blocked." Frank continued as the couple followed Rozel's quick paces down the aisle.

"I'm quite skeptical of that." He held up his hand and stopped the two from continuing their bizarre theory, "Enough. I'm going to the library."

"We will come together!" Alex raised his voice before jumping up beside him and putting his arm around his shoulder.

"Don't you have anything better to do?" he asked, his voice a little angry.

"Oh, rozelin, you really know how to hurt me!" Rozelin gave him a meaningful look and dropped that melodrama, pulling her arm back from her shoulders, "No, actually. Frank is your bodyguard and I don't have any other friends here."

"So you want to piss me off instead?"

"Exactly!"

"Stop my reading once and I'll kick you out..!" Rozelin warned him.

"Ohhh, terrible," Alex raised his hands in fake fear. Rozelin snarled in response, causing her to roll her eyes, "You won't be working on me honey-"

"I know, I know. Shifters," Rozelin rolled her eyes. Although he didn't use his oppressive growl, it was more of an instinct for his disrespect. He wasn't even bothered by her comment.

At this point, they were at the end of the stairs and were walking down another corridor. One, the men had never been down before. However, Rozelin's steps slowed, a crease that formed between her eyebrows as a souvenir. There were drops of blood on the floor in front of him and it was sprayed on the wall. When he looked down the hallway, a corpse was piled to one side.

Rozelin stopped abruptly and blinked; As memory came, it's gone. He almost bumped into her as the children continued to talk enthusiastically.

"Roseline?"

He continued to look around. The body was gone, along with the bloody wall and floor. Alex entered his field of vision with a worried expression on his face. He nods and smiles said, "Sorry, I forgot where the library was for a moment."

Alex looked at her, concern was evident in her features, but she turned it into fake anger, "Well, try to point the right way! I don't want to get lost in this place starving for days.. Found and eaten by the Alsatians... I haven't even had a child yet!" Alex continued to be melodramatic. Rozelin chuckled before shedding her words, while Frank sighed loudly, showing his annoyance.

He continued and turned a corner; He was returning to the blood he had seen on the walls, and he stopped his steps until all thoughts were gone. This time, both men bumped into him, but he did not budge. His eyes were fixed on the raven-haired beauty in short shorts and a sports bra. He stood one step too close to Damon, whose broad back was rosé, Kane beside him, arms folded.

"Out of the way, Lydia," Kane said.

Lydia lowered her head, but then looked at Rozelin again, an evil smile appearing on her face. He took another step towards Damon and whispered in his ear, "But I want to continue after practice what we did the other day."

Rozelin could not hear the rest of what was said. A ringing sound came from his ears as his eyes misted with a blue hue, his claws extended and a low growl escaped his lips. He watched Damo grab Lydia's hand and pull it away from her.

"Who is that bitch!" Malia roared this time, her voice merging with her roselinik, and the words came out of her mouth. Kane looked in her direction, and her face paled at the sight of her rosette. She couldn't hear what Damo was saying to Lydia, but every time Rozelin looked at Lydia, her anger was consumed.

Malia wanted to tear him into pieces.

"Malia…" Rozelin spoke loudly, groaning as she struggled to rein in her own body. There was a quarrel between them, with tremendous pain squeezing in his chest from the stage in front of him.

Damon and Lydia... The other day..

"Roseline!" Alex shrugged, but when he saw her shaking, he immediately let go.

"Damn, I guess it will change," Frank warned.

Pure anger flowed through him; Anger burned under his skin, making him want to tear off his clothes from his feverish mood. Rozelin and Malia were arguing, while Frank and Alex were cautiously talking to each other about what to do.

"He has to die!" Malia snarled once more as she paced on the fringes of Rosalina's mind.

"We can't kill people because they love the alpha!"

"Yes he is!" Malia roared, trying to force it, and almost succeeding when she felt the skin on Rozel's spine tear slightly, a bit of white fur sticking out.

Rozelin knew she was losing control over Malia, so she did the only thing a normal person would do. She thrust her claws into his stomach. He hunched over from the contact, gasping from the pain. Malia squeaked and the skin on her back returned to normal as blood dripped onto the floor.

"Roseline!" Damo's deep voice echoed down the hall.

Rozelin turned away without looking into his eyes as her long strides moved towards him. Hearing some scuffing noises behind him, he drew back his claws before fleeing the scene; Amex and Frank probably didn't need to look to know you blocked him. A loud growl came from the corridors and made the walls tremble. Damo's disappointments were obvious.

"We can't keep him busy for long," said Frank, using his mind connection. This gave roséline more power to run through the corridors; He was grateful to his friends and hoped they weren't too badly injured.

"I have to get out of here," Rozel's mind was racing, her emotions clashing as her heart pounded and constricted with pain. Malia paced in the background again, drooling at the thought of tearing this woman apart, Lydia.

"No killing," she rozelin ordered loudly, "otherwise, no moving!"

"Fine," Malia snapped.

"Roseline!" snarled Damon, through mind connection, "come back and face me. Don't chase me!"

Rozelin deliberately blocked him, a power he never knew he had. She could feel him trying to search his mind for any weakness to come in, but there was a strong wall between them. By the time she got to the patio door, her shoes and tops had been thrown to the floor behind her. Malia tore his skin, squirming and slamming through the patio doors, leaving shards of glass on the floor behind them.

"Couldn't you have waited?" Rozelin made a hard exit to her wolf.

"NO! You asked for distance. I'm about to put some distance between me and that whore."

She leaped forward and ran so fast that her feet thumped on the ground and her strides got longer as she ran past the trees. Several wolves on patrol stopped and followed him.

"Princess Rozelin, please-"

Rozelin blocked the herd's mind-connection, obviously her Alphas were trying to show her logic, but there was nothing at the moment. Throwing them out caused the nearby wolves to whine at him, ignoring them; Her cries squeezed her heart, and she couldn't understand either. Putting these thoughts in the back of his mind, he continued to advance in the thick of the forest.

keen hearing aHe picked up the footsteps behind him and caught up with him at a bad speed. She suddenly decided to change direction and get in and out of the trees. Rozelin knew very well how difficult it was to keep up with a panther after chasing it. The footsteps went away, then the forest fell silent; The only sounds came from their own paws hitting the wet ground and the birds chirping in the trees.

Roselin smiled triumphantly. She just wanted some time alone and where better to do it than the lake. He came to the opening of the lake and raced to the other side, closer to the mountains. He turned around so that their majestic beauty was behind him.

Running forward, he climbed a large boulder that came out of the ground and rose above some of the water. He sat and looked at Malia to see how she was doing, and felt the anger radiating from within.

"I am angry, Rozelin!" The wolf interrupted his thoughts.

But despite her anger, she knew that Malia's rosé would let her take back the reins. The wolf softened and converged in one corner of his mind; After breaking a sweat from running, she felt a little better. Rozelin sighed and returned to her human form. He sat down again and drew his legs to his chest as he watched the swirling breeze on the surface of the lake distort the mountain's reflection.

The coolness of the wind made him shudder, but along with his anger, his body temperature also needed to cool. He had no right to feel what he felt. If he was sleeping around, it wouldn't matter to him, but even if he had this weird attraction to her, she wouldn't be a part of it.

Such a player.

Malia whined in the background; She was having a hard time with him, as she was adamant that there was more to their relationship than activity in the jungle. Hearing footsteps behind him, his eyes looked up. She tensed but guessed who was approaching; After all, he was the man she had blocked out of her mind.

Her scent engulfed him like a warm cocoon, and he bit his lip at the smell. She stopped herself quickly after falling easily under Damo's spell and the fog that was beginning to invade his mind.

Her voice came out strong as she looked to the side to confirm that the words, "Get out of here," had reached her. But she didn't want to see him right now and turned back to the front. Not to mention sitting naked on a rock.

"Rozelin, turn around." Damo's silky voice was soft, tugging at the veins of his heart and causing goosebumps.

"I'm enjoying the view," she replied, refusing to let go of the anguished anger she still felt at the thought of him being with another woman.

"I didn't chase you all this way just to ignore me and look at the view." His voice shook the environment, causing birds to fly from their nearby nests. Malia groaned and began to bow to her Alpha, but Rozelin was stronger and refused to back down.

"I didn't want you chasing me," she rozelin said coldly.

The next thing he knew, he was being held firmly and spun in place, causing the bum to scrape off the hard surface of the rock. He slapped Damo in the face, earning a snarl in response, and he was turned on his back, his arms clamped to the stone under his weight. Her breasts popped forward, causing her to stare at them hungrily before placing her hand on her waist to hold her even more. He tried to push her but in vain. His crazy eyes then met hers and his struggle, his emotions, everything dissipated in an instant.

He gasped as he watched his gray eyes seemingly swirl and then darken under his gaze. At that moment, it was as if a rubber band snapped into place as a wave of feeling hit him with all its might. Her eyes were locked in his stern gaze.

"I won't be chasing my MATE again," his deep voice grumbled as his eyes sparkled with pleasure.

Rozelin almost melted into the rock, loosening her body; The feeling of warmth radiating from him warmed him. With her broad shoulders and body that takes up most of her vision, she makes her feel safe and protected. She couldn't help but admire the look of his sculpted chest, muscular arms, and of course, the Greek god-like features. Malia howled in the background; Overjoyed at finding his mate, he almost leaped to the surface of his mind. I can't wait to meet Damo's wolf.

Rozelin met Damon's eyes again, silver orbs gleaming with amusement as she grinned at him, knowing full well the power she had over him. She blushed, realizing that she was staring at him clearly again. She moved her head to the side until the hand on her hip gently grabbed her chin and turned her head, so it was like she was looking at him again.

"Don't hide from me. I am yours and you are mine." An almost animalistic tone merged with his voice. He watched her gray eyes gleam and darken, causing himself to shine in return. Their faces were inches apart as he felt Malia step forward for a few seconds, then relax and return to the back of his mind. Her eyes returned to normal, and Rozel's head rested on the ground again. Malia sighed with happiness as she glanced at Damon's wolf.

Damon loosened his grip on her wrists and brought his hand close to her waist to restrain himself. Under normal circumstances, Rozelin had attacked him by now to get him off his head. But these were not normal conditions. He enjoyed having his body between his legs; He blushed again, realizing how naked they were. Looking down, she saw his height in her belly, her eyes widen both from her size and from the predicament she was in. Panic started and he looked around, looking sideways.

"I ordered the pack to stay away. No one's going to bother us," Damon answered his unspoken question. She relaxed her head again and looked at him again, noticing very well how their body was responding to the other. Their arousal floated through the air, making the sexual tension that much harder to ignore.

He chuckled as his big eyes turned to her. His voice calmed her, put her in a trance. He lifted his hand to her face and slid it down her powerful chin. He watched in fascination as his jaw muscles tickled and a shiver filled him under his touch.

Rozelin was pleased with the small response. He continued to trace his fingers along her features from his lips, nose, eyebrows, and then lowered both hands to his neck. He groaned slightly, then shook his hand playfully, "I can't control myself if you keep doing this." His hoarse voice was breathless.

"Maybe I don't want you to control yourself," Rozel replied, looking up from under her lashes and meeting her gaze, challenging her to do something.

A snarl escaped her lips, causing Rozel to bark. Her eyes darkened as she brought her face close to his. "You should never ask an Alpha to lose control. Even if we're a couple," His voice was dangerously low, but it only got him more excited.

Damon lowered his face to her neck before toying with the idea of trying something. He watched the canine teeth grow as he got closer to her skin. But instead of pain, he felt the gentlest kisses on his collarbone and sent shockwaves through his body. She gasped and her heart pounded loudly, waiting for those dogs to bite her.

"Why do I want you to bite me?" He sighed as his mind began to spin.

"A werewolf's way of marking wives. When I mark you, the bond will be complete." His voice was hoarse as he began to run his nose around your neck, causing him to squirm and smile under his touch.

He pulled back abruptly, taking a deep breath. His eyes darkened to almost black. He slammed his fist on the side of his face and his sudden outburst caused him to jump and become confused. It also seemed to free her from her lustful haze and make her realize how fast everything was going between them.

"Why do I smell a man other than you?" His voice was still animalistic. Since Malia had done the same thing to him before, she had guessed that she was now his wolf.

The only man he could think of was Alex, who put his arm over her. Why was he so angry?

"That's the equivalent of Lydia touching him," Malia snarled in defense of their wives.

"This is different. Alex is a friend. Lydia obviously wants Damon," Rozelin replied dryly.

"Just Alex. He's harmless," she told Damon, pleading with her eyes to calm down.

He brought his face closer to hers again.

"No one can touch what's mine!"
