Chapter 22 - Gathering - I

The next morning, Clarence woke up, completed his morning routine and packed up all his things in his spatial bracelet.

He preferred a bracelet because rings might come in the way in his fights, whereas with his bracelet, he could also use it to block an attack in case of emergencies.

Being an heir of the Royal family, his spatial bracelet was, of course, the highest tier available on the market, the one with the largest space and toughest covering.

If an attack of caliber higher than what the spatial stone could bear landed on it, rather than breaking into smaller spatial stones with lower specifications, the stone transforms into something else entirely with all the items in it spilling out of it.

The higher the internal space of the spatial stones, the more delicate their natural defense is, so high grade stones are pretty rare to find. People will spare no expenses to cover the stones, no matter which grade, with a tough metal just so it doesn't break.

Clarence closed his room and walked to the exit of the mansion, only to see his parents already waiting for him there. When he was at a considerable distance from them, he greeted them,

"Good morning mom. Good morning dad"

After both of them responded to his greetings, his dad said,

"Your mom will be attending the entrance ceremony with you."

Clarence's eyes snapped wide open and he looked towards his mom for confirmation. Sienna smiled while looking at her son to give him the confirmation.

"Yessss!"

Clarence shouted with joy when he realised it wasn't said for fun. He thought he'd have to go through the entrance ceremony alone. After all, it was quite common. But which child doesn't want to have support, someone who will look over them.

It wasn't about being dependent. In a competition as big as this, knowing that there is someone who will always support you is just a kind of relief.

In a jovial mood, he talked for a couple more minutes with his parents and then exited the mansion with his mom.

Since all the races will be studying at the same place, the academy obviously wouldn't be any of the main academies of the races. Instead, a new academy was built from the ground in the gray area of the territory of the demon and human race on earth.

Earth, the most resourceful planet, was dominated by humans and demons. They had both also conquered one planet each, while the rest of the planets were dominated by one race each.

Being the two strongest races, the academy was decided to be built near their territory, on Earth. While the rest of the races will have a greater percentage of faculty in the academy.

Sienna used a teleportation artifact to teleport near the academy with Clarence. Standing in the air with the help of his mom, Clarence could see the academy in his sights and even calling it huge would be an understatement.

"You'll be staying here till you reach rank six. The maximum amount of time you can stay here is seven years. Assuming a person awakens at eighteen years of age, if he or she is talented, reaching rank six till the age of twenty-six is the minimum.

The academy has lowered the threshold by one year to push you guys and there is no such stupid thing as early elimination out of the academy if you fail to reach rank four within four years or anything like that.

There are cases of talents blooming late, a person's talent blooms in many different cases with pressure being one of them and the academy understands that, so instead of any stupid early elimination, it just gives you a total of seven years to reach rank six."

"I see, thank you mom. You must know a lot of information given your rank, right?"

Looking at her son curiously to see where he was going, Sienna replied,

"Yea, why?"

"Can you inform me about the tests at the entrance ceremony pleaseeee? Or at least about who else I need to look out for?"

Just as he asked, from the previous few people standing in the air with them, more people were coming near the academy, some through teleportation, some walking and standing near the surroundings, while some in their various transportation means.

He was distracted by the sudden increasing number of people. As they kept on increasing, camps were being formed at a visible rate according to races.

*ROARRR*

A deafening roar was heard and soon a humongous dragon came into everyone's view. It was a hundred metres long with cobalt blue scales and a scary aura.

As soon as it came into view, it went near a particular camp and the people of the camp parted to give way, indicating its status in the dragon race. The dragon polymorphed into a human form as it approached the people of the camp and stood at the front.

Only now did people realise there were a couple of people on its back, all of the people who had just arrived on its back were young and stood near the forefront, similarly indicating their status.

A similar scene happened at many camps. The demons, too, had flocked near Clarence and Sienna for an obvious reason — they were of the Royal family.

Clarence heard hearty laughter near him and turned around to see a beautiful lady walking towards them, followed by three young people. He smiled and greeted her,

"How are you, aunty? Nice to see you"

The person in question sweetly smiled and extended her hand to ruffle his white hair. She said,

"As polite as ever, I am fine. Nice to see you too, Clarence."

She then went forward to hug Sienna and said,

"Damn girl, you should've informed me you were coming. I wouldn't have bothered to bring these brats with me then."

Sienna hugged her back and said after separating,

"I wanted to spend time with my son and tell him a few things, so I didn't inform anyone."

The beautiful lady replied,

"Alright. Now that I've come already, I might as well watch the ceremony and go."
