Chapter 1 - Prologue

The eerie silence of the night sky beckoned down onto Earth, the coldness and breeze accompanying it. Stars and trees become such a beautiful sight at this time at night, the fogginess making the view so much more clearer.

Time to time a bird would chirp or move to a different surrounding, making a bit of a commotion that came with it, the trees moving as the bird left a branch or went and joined it, drops of water falling onto the muddy and foggy ground that was no longer visible to see.

Snuffling and muttering slowly started to come from the hill. The harsh breathing of a child no younger than eight filling the silent mountains just by its sound.

The child's hair was brown, seeming to be cut unevenly to the point that some strands were long while others were short. The clothes the child was wearing were torn and made out of leather, probably by someone who obviously loved their job but didn't know how to do it properly.

Tears filled her eyes as she collapsed onto the cold and muddy floor, in which she started to weep and cry on. The sounds of crying became so loud that every being in the mountains were able to hear it. Strong emotions started to swell from the child's mind that was nothing that a child should have to feel, her cries becoming so fragrant and more painful to hear that even the sky had to look away.

Her breaths hitched, the sound of walking making her stop what she was doing and look up.

Wings; the first thing the girl noticed were pure white wings that shone in the night sky. It was so beautiful to see, that the child forgot how to breathe.

She wondered if she were looking at an angel right then and there. Maybe she had died from the painful and insanely long walk? She blinked and started to rub her eyes, she counted to three before she opened them again. This time the angel was closer. He had this circle thing floating above his head, his hair was light brown with gold like flicks frozen a few metres away from his face.

"Hello, my child," the god paused from talking and bent down in front of the crying child in front of him. "It's been so long since I've seen you. May I ask why you're crying?"

The girl started sniffling and pointed down the mountain, signalling about the village below, that danced brightly with music and lights. The god nodded and wiped a tear away from the girl's eye. He picked her up slowly into his arms, kissed her on the forehead and then as quickly as he came, he left but this time, with a child in his arms
