Elisandra, 35 years of age, short gold hair, fair-skinned, green eyes, lips with peach colour and fit. She is in her flat preparing to start her daily ritual. First, she puts down a bowl of cat food for her familiar, a pet. "Here you go. Come on. Good girl." And goes to the welcome room, next to a small altar with a bowl, incense, flowers, a symbol and a wooden hammer. There are five different colours of candles which are green, yellow, orange, white, and blue. Each one is in a different room with a symbol sculpted on it. The blue candle with a fish carved out on it represents the water element and it is in her bedroom, the orange candle with a phoenix graven on it represents the fire element and it is in her kitchen, the green candle with a picture of a dove holding a branch of green leaves represents the earth and it is in her window, the yellow candle with an angel wing sculpted on it represents the air and it is in her balcony, and the white candle with a heart moulded on it represents the spirit and it is in front of her on the altar.
Outside the residential building, there is an outdoor emergency stair, hard to fall, but it looks fragile. Someone is coming upstairs to go into the building and it looks like the target is the witch, Elisandra. The hood one is standing outside her window waiting for the right moment to crash and act without further notice.
At eleven o'clock at night, Elisandra holds the white candle in front of her chest and starts chanting the protection praying to her deities. "With respect and gratitude, I call the guardians to protect my home." Opens her eyes and holds a wooden stick to tap the bowl full of incense ashes. The bowl tinkle brings a feeling of harmony and peace releasing different frequencies of vibrations. She starts walking to the kitchen looking at the orange candle. "The moon smiles, the sun hugs, the stars dance and all the Universe sings with me. Hello Archangel Miguel, protect me from all the evil haunting me at every moment." A few minutes pass and a constant wind blows her hair. She thinks someone is present, but is not afraid of it and continues the ritual. She looks at the blue candle. "Hello Archangel Raphael, heal me from all the sins harming and damaging my life."
Someone walks by the cat, scaring it away. The familiars can sense pure or dark energies coming from somewhere or someone. It is almost midnight and the ritual is far from the end. Although they say the ritual is short, for someone like her it takes hours to finish it. She looks at the yellow candle on her outdoor balcony. "Hello Archangel Uriel, what prophecies are destined to me and how can I accomplish it?" She goes back to the welcome room and prays to the last deity looking at the white candle. "Hello Archangel Barachiel, if you are present, listen to my prayer and send a message to everyone who can help me."
Now Elisandra is in her nirvana but still feels that something is wrong. Her pet is gone and disturbing energy is at her back, waiting for the right moment to present itself. She can't hold her breath and focus anymore and starts looking into the room, but there is nothing. Someone walks up behind her and she is surprised by the hood one. "Oh my God! What are you doing here?" She thinks it is her boyfriend, but it is a demon pretending to be someone she knows. Without having time to react, the hooded being pulls a knife and plunges into her stomach, leaving a deep cut hard to be cured. Before going unconscious, Elisandra holds her breath and looks for the emergency switch to call the security and rescue team from the building. Elisandra lost her life in 2013 and the killer escaped, probably looking for more victims through DF, or maybe the world.
At North Lake, 25 street, in a residential building called Vitalis, is Miller's flat. Entering door number 209, eyelid, heavy muscles and legs in pain, Luana complains about her day. "What a day!" And drops the bags over the floor. Someone with a loud voice calls for her name. "Luana!" And she answers the call. "Yes, it is me! Where are you?" Instead of an answer, the high voice gets a mild shock and screams. "Ouch!" The voice is coming from the loo and it is Lucinda, the middle sister, 23 years of age, who looks like her sister in almost everything, the only differences are her green eyes and personality.
At this moment, Lucinda is trying to calm herself changing her facial expressions. "Why does it always happen to me?" The sweet one is gone, her body looks poisoned, her mind is full of negative random thoughts, the air is heavy, her sight is blurred and starts hallucinating because of her panic crisis. Luckily, someone appears to change the energy. "Lucy, are you fine?" Luana looks worried about her sister. "Sorry, I'm late. But my boss called me to a suddenly meeting."
"What else is new? And why haven't you called me?" Lucinda is upset because she had been having stomachaches, headaches, morning sickness and mind confusion. "I guess you don't have any idea about what happened here all day." Luana can't figure out what her sister is talking about. "Right. And why are you fixing the shower? Why haven't you called an electrician?" Of course, Lucinda tried it, but no one answered her call. "I tried and now I am tired because I can't fix it and I am fat!"
Somehow Luana knows what is happening with her sister, but doesn't want to blow her sister's mind with it. "I would be here to meet the electrician that I called earlier, but you know I can't leave the company before my shift. My money depends on it." She sees a package and a bouquet of blue roses next to the window. "What about that? Have you been shopping with our saved money without my permission?"
"Of course not! Someone left the package and a bouquet for us, but there is no name or destination on it." Lucinda sees bags on the floor too. "And what were you doing at Liberty Store? I thought you were in a meeting."
"I did, but I went to the store because of some list I got from our door fridge. From start I thought it was a shopping list for home, but I remind about your audition when I've already bought it. And it is not far from my work."Luana speaks the truth about her delay with a guilty face."So, did you pass your audition today?"
Lucinda is bored and upset again. Now her sister made her mad. "OF COURSE NOT! But he gave me another chance and maybe tomorrow I will have an opportunity to get to it." She opens the package to see what is inside and it is a bottle of wine called Parreiras PurĂssimo from Portugal. The perfect ingredient for good taste. "I can't believe it! How did you know I needed it?" Luana is confused and she sees the same thing as her sister but didn't understand the question. "What are you talking about?" And Lucinda gets confused too. "Really? Who else would sent something I wanted it most if they don't know me? Have I been stalked?"
"You are getting crazy, Lucy. Let's have a quick chat in our room." They pass through the dining room and a shining thing spots Luana's attention. "What is that light?" Lucinda turns around and looks for the light her sister is talking about, but nothing. "What?" Luana is sure there is something shiny in the welcome room. "That light. It looks like a..." Coming closer, Luana sees a golden map. "A map?" Lucinda explains where she found the map and why she was there. "I found it in the stock room when I was looking for the circuit tester. I don't know why the circuit tester needs to be in a room." She reads aloud the inscription on the back. "To my beautiful girls. May this give you the wisdom to guide you to the light and fight against darkness. The Great Power can save you all. Be nice to each other and have faith. Something good is going to happen. Love, grandpa." Lucinda stopped thinking about her condition and tries to solve the message left on the map. "We never did figure out the meaning of this inscription."
"No. But do you remember the stories about our grandpa's adventures and how he met our grandma? And he told us he used this map all the time and a compass to guide him. After all, GPS was not an option at that time." Luana gives an answer by thinking about the memories of the map. "Maybe we should give this to grandma. She is so in the dark, literally speaking. Maybe a light will help her get out of that house."
"You are always so hard on her. Maybe our sister was right when she left us to live in New York." Lucinda complains about her sister's attitude and Luana ignores it. "Lucy, she has no vision, no sense of the future. She doesn't leave that house for years since our grandpa's death."
Lucinda takes the bag towards the kitchen. "I think she's coming around. Then, it might change many things." Her phone rings. "Hi! Jefferson? How are you? And where are you?" Her boyfriend answers from the other line of the call. "Hi! Yes, it's me! I'm fine, I think. I am at a hospital taking care of someone and there is a bad connection here, Lucy. I'm sorry. I wanted to know if you received your package." Lucinda gets surprised by her boyfriend's answer and tries not to freak out. After all, it is just a coincidence. Maybe he sent thinking about her, but not because of the audition.
At 26 square, the second avenue, 31, there are many cop cars in front of a house. Jefferson lied about being in a hospital. He was waiting for the detectives to come to look into the situation. "Well, I've been waiting for you. I'm a local journalist. Would you mind giving me some answers?" The detectives ignore him and go to the house.
The detectives present their Id cards to the guard. Inside the house, everything is a mess. A young man with golden hair in green eyes and a leather jacket comes in with his partner, another man with brown hair in brown eyes and a cop uniform.
"What happened here?" Asks Renan to his partner. "An old female to late seventies, double-edged steel knife and a strange symbol in her corpse," Archie answers the question seriously. "This is the seventh one in 2 weeks." Renan thinks it is a serial killer, a good one for random purposes. He opens the cover on the corpse and sees a strange symbol never seen before. Flash memory comes to his mind and blurs his sight a little with an image of a place with walls and the same symbol on it. "Wow. What is going on?"
At Miller's flat, Lucinda is in her room watching a film on Prime Video and Luana is working in her office room. Lucinda watches a scene that caught her attention about her life and she thinks deeply about her grandma and sister. She decides to talk to her sister again. Opening the office room door, Lucinda starts talking about options to win money and pay the bills, her college, and house things. "I think you're right. We do need a roommate." Luana agrees, but for one condition. "Well, agree. But we will rent the room in exchange for some help around the house. I won't accept a lazy roommate such as Louise." Lucinda tries to change her sister's mind to be prepared for something big than a rented room. "I know who can be our wrench. And well, she is coming back from Tokyo." Luana can't believe her sister's talk. "NO!" And Lucinda confirms. "Well, I could hardly say no. She's our family too." A phone rings ending their discussion. "I'll get it!" Luana leaves the room and goes to pick up the phone on the table. "Yes, right. Thanks for calling us."
Luana's facial expression changes from mad to worried. Lucinda senses there is something wrong. "What? Who called you?" Lucinda thinks it might be her college talking about the delayed bills. "And how long have you known about our sister anyway?" Luana changes the subject. "Two weeks or four." Lucinda gets scared because of her sister's mood. "Thanks for sharing."
Lucinda still wants to know who was on the phone. "You're changing the subject! And you didn't answer my question. Who was talking to you on the phone?" Luana can't deny it anymore. "Our grandma is in the hospital. They say some neighbour heard a loud noise and saw our grandma on the floor. Her window was broken and the door was closed. Thank God they called emergency." Lucinda can't understand what her sister is talking about and lost the reasoning after the phrase 'grandma is in the hospital.' Luana and Lucinda get their coats and get dressed to go to the hospital. Lucinda suggests her sister let her drive, but Luana refuses it and turns on the car to drive to the hospital.
At Saint Luzia hospital, Luciana is hospitalised in a surgery room, unconscious and weak. The doctors are trying everything to make her better and recover herself. In visiting room, the Miller sisters are trying to convince the secretary to let them in and see their grandma. "Look, I will say this only one more time. You called us, here we are and now we want to see how our grandma Lucy is. In which room is she?" The secretary looks at Luana confused while searching the data about Luciana. "She is in a surgery room and when is done will be taken to a new room for observation. Only one of you can be her accompanying one."
In the surgery room, the surgeon had already taken five silver fibres from her stomach. Someone gives her a historic about Luciana. "Patient number 2946, Luciana Miller, a serious condition, some health problems, takes four medicines every day and night." After a quick reading, the surgeon keeps trying to help Luciana live. The cardiac monitor starts warning about a probable heart attack to death. "We need to sew her now! Where are the needles?"
A few minutes passed and the doctor comes with the result of Luciana's condition. "I'm sorry. I did everything I could." The doctor gives the document about their passed-out grandma. Luana reads aloud "Luciana Beatrice Miller, 65 years, was found unconscious and serious injury in her house by a neighbour. In the surgery room, the doctors stabilised her for 3 hours and took five silver fibres from her stomach. A new X-ray showed bodily harm to her spine and a strange object noun-founded in our system. Date and time of death: 22:00, May 13th, 2013." Lucinda is reading in silence and starts crying. "She is dead! DEAD!" Luana tries to calm her sister. "Keep your voice down. We are not at the end yet. Let's find out who did this to her and we can win the case." The doctor suggests looking for the police because of the unknown condition presented during the surgery. Luana signs the document and gives it back to the doctor, but doctor Pabline says they can have the document for them or send it by email.
Back home, Luana and Lucinda decide to visit their grandma's house to see what it looks like now. They go inside the house and a random question comes to Luana's mind because of an early moment. "When does she arrive?" Lucinda is lost in her thoughts. "Who?" Luana says their sister's name and suddenly, someone comes in behind them. "Lucy! Lua!" It is their sister Louise.
"Oh, hi Louise! It is so nice to see you! How have you been in Tokyo?" Lucinda smiles at her sister and Louise is ashamed for not telling her everything that happened to her. "I've been good, somehow. And yes, I loved Tokyo. But the crowd is amazing! I don't know how they can walk on the streets like that. Every day the bus station and the train are full every hour. The college there is strict too." Luana tries to focus on something else. "I'm speechless. I think I am going home. See you later." And leaves the grandma's house.
Lucinda and Louise go to the welcome room and sit down on the couch. Lucinda starts talking about a random thought in her head. "Hey, I got a great idea. Why don't we try a girls' night tomorrow? I know Luana is upset and angry with you because of old times, but we can't be like it every day. And tomorrow I have an audition to go." Louise doesn't think it is a good idea but agrees. "I think Lua won't like to have my presence at a girl's party. It will be more like a family meeting. Boring and cold." Lucinda agrees with her sister, but she is the middle sister and needs to fix it no matter what will happen. "We'll try the group hug later then."
A loud noise of a horn and a car getting inside the house's garage calls their attention. As soon as they heard it, Lucinda and Louise goes upstairs to hide from someone or something else. Steps of stiletto heels come from the front door and by the sound of it, they know is a woman. "GRAMS! GRANDMA! I BROUGHT YOU SOME SWEET CORN CAKE! GRAMS?" Once again the steps of stiletto heels go upstairs. The Miller sisters are still hiding in a random room hoping not to be discovered. Louise thinks the worse. "Do you think our house was bought by someone already?" Lucinda can't think about it, but she thinks it way too. "Of course not! This house is in our family for generations. Why would someone want to buy an old house?"
At Miller's flat, Luana is mad while looking for her travelling bag. "Why does she need to come back right now? Doesn't she have more things to do? She abandoned us and Lucy agrees of welcoming her?" Inside the storage room, Luana finds the bag she was looking for and takes it to her bedroom. "Right. Let me see..." She picks up some clothes, books and her laptop and put them inside the bag. "I hope it works."
The panic in Miller's house is freaking out the Miller sisters. Lucinda can't handle her agonising anymore. "Why am I here? Who is the one living here?" A shadow in her back shows someone is next to them. "Who wants to know?" Louise turns around and sees a beautiful girl. She is tall, has green eyes, a fair-skin, peach lips, a strong aura and long straight black hair. "Who are you and what are you doing in my house?" The answer in Lucinda's head is "Your house? This is our house!", but she answers "We... we were just... We..." Lucinda can't think of a better answer than what she is thinking. Louise tries to help. "We were just leaving, right?" Lucinda agrees with her head and they go downstairs to leave the house.
"Wait! I don't know your names! And how could go inside the house without a key?" The girl asks for information, but none of the strangers answers her. "Right, what a bad introduction of mine. I'm Lory, actually, this is my nickname. Well, I live in this house since 2011 with my grandma Luciana. Are you her friend's kids or...?" They laugh and Louise thinks Loren's comment is funny. Lucinda is surprised of meeting someone who is a member of the family and has the same grandmother of theirs. "And why do you think we are someone's kids? I mean, how do you know Luciana is your grandma?" Loren likes to have a chat, but now she wants to find her grandma. "Have you seen her? My grandma Lucy?" They nod NO and look around.
On a table is a shiny light again, an object, similar to what happened at Miller's flat. "What is that light?" they thought. Lucinda thinks she is hallucinating because she and Luana were the only ones who saw the same light in their flat and found out it was a map. "You know what? It is better to keep going. We don't want more problems here." Louise protests with her sister. "No! I want to see that light!" After hearing her sister, Lucinda is surprised and now she is sure is not the only one seeing a strange light. "Would you like to go first and see what it is?" Louise agrees and goes straight into the room to see the light closely. Now she is close to the shiny thing and again, a map reveals to her. Lucinda can't believe the map appeared there too. "Who brought this to this house?" Louise and Loren get confused. "What do you mean with who brought to this house?" Lucinda wants to explain how she knows about the map, but she thinks her sisters will think she is crazy. "Well, I was at home fixing the shower in the loo and Luana arrived there and she saw a strange light. We followed that light and we saw a map. Behind the map has a description, something about 'May this give you the wisdom to guide you to the light and fight against darkness. The Great Power can save you all.'?" They have a few minutes of silence and think about what to do with the map. Luana appears at the same moment. "Hi, girls! Have I..." She looks at the new girl. "Who is she?" Lucinda and Louise don't know either. They just know she is their grandma's granddaughter too.
Loren asks to see the map. "Wow! This is so beautiful. Who drew this map, is an artist. Look at the colour of this page. And the continents were made by hand. Why is this here?" She asks her half-sisters, but no one answers because they have no idea of what is happening too. Louise wants to know more about the news in her family and changes the subject. "How are you going? You and Jefferson?" Lucinda knows the question is for her. "I am with him for twelve years now. He was in college studying journalism and we met in the hospital cafeteria when our grandpa was hospitalised. He gave me a napkin in bird shape." Louise congrats her sister for it and Lucinda continues the story. "And it had his phone number on it." Loren laughs about their conversation and can't hold her freaking smile. "I'm sorry, but I've never had a date like yours. A napkin? Seriously?" Luana feels offended by Loren but calms down because the story is not about her. Lucinda sees Loren is trying to solve the mystery about the map. "Stop shaking the map or you will rap it." Loren doesn't know what she is doing and Louise is impatient to know what is going on. "She is not shaking the map. And... I forgot what I was going to say."
The house blacks out. The Miller sisters are in a panic because now it looks like a horror film scenery. Lucinda is walking towards the door and the others are following her with a flashlight from their cellphones. "I don't care what you think. I'm leaving!" Luana tries to be positive. "Maybe you're overreacting. We are totally safe here." But Loren agrees with Lucinda. "Don't say that! The one who says it is always the first to die." Louise remembers the news she watched on tik tok about a psycho walking through Brasilia. "Maybe we should be together until the lights are back. It is pouring rain and it can be dangerous outside. What about your boyfriend? He can't take care of you easily, right? Then stay with us!" Lucinda tries to use the phone. "Oh, wow! Even phones hate me." Loren knows it is because of the blackout, but laughs thinking about her sister's panic. Luana suggests going to the basement to turn on the emergency lights, but Louise is afraid of going there since she was three years of age. "What? Don't look at me like that! You know I hate the dark."
Luana asks Loren's help to hold the flashlight while looking for the main circuit box. Louise starts to freak out and acts strange talking like a robot. "It is time. He is calling me! I need to go." Lucinda thinks her sister is trying to avoid staying with Luana because of their bad strong past relationship. "Louise! Don't you dare stay away from us! If I can't go outside, why can you escape?" Louise is off to answer anyone's question. She turns around and goes upstairs without directions while repeating the sentence "Consecrated Ones are us." She stops in front of a wall and in ten seconds reveals a secret door. Louise goes in and finds a room full of furniture and a symbol drawn in the centre. A blue light on the wall calls for her name and her hands make movements to open a portal. The funny part is Louise has no idea of what is she doing because right now she is not in control of it. The portal is open and sucks her inside.
In the basement, Luana turns on the emergency lights. "Everyone is okay?" She asks even knowing her sister is off. Lucinda answers she is fine but is worried about Louise. Loren agrees with Lucinda and Luana can't deny her suspects. "Oh right, all right. Let's go find her."
Louise is unconscious in the same room, but now she is in another plane, the astral plane. There is an altar with a book covered with herbs and venom plants, one blue candle, a photo of her grandma, a bowl full of ashes and a black handkerchief on the altar table. Slowly Louise opens her eyes and gets conscious that she is not at home anymore. "Where am I?" She thinks she is dreaming, but also thinks is awake and having illusions. "This place looks familiar." She walks to the altar and sees her grandma's photo for a while thinking about how she can get out of there. There are no windows or doors to look for, only walls and the floor. A voice calls for her. "Louise, come to me. I need to tell you something." In the physical plane, in reality, Luana, Lucinda and Loren are in the same room, but can't see Louise. "Where is this girl? This is not time for jokes!" Luana is impatient to continue the search.
The curious thing about the astral plane is that the one who is in it can see everything from the physical plane too, but it can't be seen by them. Louise is watching her sisters looking for her, but her sisters can't see her. She tries screaming for their names, but no one answers. She tries to throw the candle from the altar at them, but it passes through them and doesn't hurt anyone. "Dammit! I need to do something before it is too late. Am I dead?" A spirit appears from nowhere to her, it is her grandma. "Dear Louise, don't be childish. You are all growing up and now it is time for you to know the truth. But first I need you to do something for me. Since you are the first to get in contact with the Consecrated plane." Louise can't believe what she is seeing. "Grandma?" Luciana smiles at her. "Yes, I am your lovely grandma. Unfortunately, I can only get in contact with you in this astral plane and you can't see me for now. Not until you receive your gifts." Luciana notes that her granddaughter is looking at her sisters. "Oh, right. You are desperate to get out of here and tell them, right? Don't worry. Just do what I say."
Louise opens the Consecrated book on the first page and starts chanting. "Through the shadows, we can see, a light guiding us to be free. On this night, I'll call upon ancient gifts, the oldest of Gods are summons up here, the gratitude of magic is pleaded, bring your offers to we four, we want these abilities, then give us the gifts." Nothing happens in the astral plane and Louise feels humiliated. "Right. And now? What have I done wrong?" Luciana laughs about her granddaughter's comment and explains everything. "There is nothing wrong about it, dear. Now everything is in your place and you can see how deep you are connected with it."
The front door starts shining with bright light flashes coming through and an earthquake shakes the house gently. The girls are terrified at the moment. "What is happening? An earthquake in Brasilia? This is insane!" Lucinda complains about the house situation. "Of course, the house might be crashing up inside and we haven't noticed it." Luana thinks her sister is too dramatic to see the truth. "The house is fine. Ask Loren if something like it happened when she moved here." Loren denies it with her head. "See? She is a proof that the house is fine!" The earthquake stops and the front door goes back to normal again. Louise magically appears to her sisters. "Wow!"
"What is going on? What are you doing? Where have you been?" Luana is angry. Louise wants to explain how it happened, but even she can't find an excuse to tell the experience she had while she was in the astral plane. "Well. I don't know. I was with you trying to find the emergency lights when the house was black and suddenly I was in a room without doors or windows and I met our grandma in it." Luana stares at her sister and doesn't believe what she is saying. "Like I thought. This is one of your pranks, isn't it?" Louise tries another explanation. "I was reading a book with an old rhyme written by our ancestors and I am back in reality." Loren is curious about one thing. "How did you get in here? Actually, how can you build something without noises around the house? This place it wasn't here before." Lucinda is impressed. "Really? I thought this room was part of this house too." Louise is excited to tell what she read about magic in the Consecrated Book. "The book with a strange symbol on it shows me the truth about our family legacy. It is about six senses of magic, feeling, timing, the moon, the sun, and everything connected. And if we do this today, now, on one of the mornings on a full moon, it is the perfect time for this." Her sisters get confused. "Oh. Well, receive our gifts." Lucinda freaks out. "Wait? Gifts? What gifts? Have you included me in this?"
At the police station, David and Renan examinates the corpse photo. "What is it?" David thinks it might be dark magic caused by a lunatic or a satan follower. "I don't know. It is the same symbol we found on the other victims." Renan is lost. "So, the murder is killing women who belong to occult?" David denies it. "No, they practiced their rituals alone. They were witches." Renan thinks David is crazy. "All right. Then I am an old prophet trying to look for answers to others. They were not witches, just women." David is serious. "The murder is not killing them. It is hunting them for something big. Who else would know the meaning about this symbol than us?" Renan starts thinking rationally with his partner.
"Old maps, ancient books, strange lights. It all started when you arrived." Luana is mad, but her sisters disagree. "Hey! I wasn't the one who found the map in a flat." Luana tries again. "It wasn't me who passed all night saying strange things and suddenly disappeared after the lights turned on." Lucinda doesn't care who is the guilty one or if there is a prank caused by someone between them. "What happened after you read the book?" Louise nods her head saying she is confused and Loren is fine with it. "Well, everything looks the same and the house is stand. So nothing changed, right?"
The next morning, Louise is the first one to wake up. She brushes her teeth, and hair, goes downstairs and cooks a quick meal, eats calmly, makes a coffee and goes outside to have some fresh air. Someone is in her back. "You're up early. What happened?" It is Lucinda. "Don't tell me you spent the night chanting and flying around the neighbourhood with your gifts." Louise laughs. "The only gift I received when I was abroad was a pencil case and a book. But none of them can fly." Now Lucinda is curious to know more about what her sister has been doing. "Then, what were you doing?" Louise explains she read a lot and asks if Luana is around, but the answer from Lucinda is no. "According to the book, our gifts are like powers connected to the seven essences of nature. And one of our ancestors received these gifts from the Universe somehow. But in her time, they thought she was a witch practising dark magic and they burned her at stake." Lucinda laughs pretending to believe what her sister is talking about. "And we have an invisible father, a maniac uncle, a drunk cousin and a dramatic sister." Louise doesn't like the comment from Lucinda. "I am serious. She practised those gifts for a reason. She could control the earth, water, fire, air, spirit, light and metals. Her sixth sense was big and her intuition very strong." Lucinda still thinks her sister has a crazy mind because of the blackout. "And why can't we? We can pay the bills to have water and light, we have fire to cook, do gardening, our cellphones and almost everything in our house was made with metals. Of course, we can control it if we pay and grow up, shiny." Louise continues talking. "Before she burned at the stake, she promised that each generation of her lineage witches would grow stronger, until the arrival of four sisters. These sisters are the most powerful witches in the Universe and I think we are them." Lucinda goes inside the house to grab her bag and umbrella. Louise wants to make at least one of her sisters listen to her. "I know you think I am crazy right now because I arrived yesterday and had a fight with Lua, but something special really happened. I can feel it." Lucinda puts her left hand on Louise's forehead but is not hot or cold. "Look, I know last night was weird and unbelievable, but we are not witches or magical creatures from a mythology book, and we do not have gifts to control the elements of nature. Besides, our grandma wasn't a witch and neither was mom." Lucinda walks out the door and gets inside the car. The car engine starts and before being out of sight, Louise screams loud. "We are the Salvation of this world. We save innocent people and we will be known as the Consecrated Ones!"
