Synopsis
(MXM) When your life is so fucked up and abysmal, you ask yourself, 'how did I get here?' or 'how do I get out?' Two poorly trained Fairy-assassins are assigned to the Faine Family, where they encounter triangles of forbidden love for the most ruthless vampires in the world. Snippet- He flung Jordan over on the couch, his knee in-between the legs of the other as the fangs under his lips went unnoticed. Jordan made a mistake, never lower his guard when he's around a target, especially a dangerous one. But he did; he wanted to fuck and forget about Zack for a while-however, that didn't go exactly as planned. Even forgetting to interrogate. "Slow down...!" He saw the red stain in Mason's eyes as if the life had been sucked from his body. In a moment of pure and absolute instinct, his hands stretched, fidgetting for the pistol that was taped under the booth. "Slowly!" Jordan's urgent voice repeated before screaming: "No!" when he felt a sharp, life-reaping sting at the side of his neck. In an instant, he brought the pistol to the other's head, "Get off me... Or die, you fucking monster!" Part 1: Jordan x Mason

Brunch With The Headmaster

"Your next target is Mason Faine. He is the heir to Atlin, a company producing medical drugs. Due to the large sums of money, status, connections, and lack of transparency, they also perform drug trafficking and blood bags." She slid the concealed blue documents-marked 'classified' in red-across the table, and Jordan stopped it with his index finger.

He straightened his sluggish posture before scanning through the cause of all his upcoming problems.

The headmaster's faded red hair laid stiff and tamed along her back with heels fastened against the floor as she stared into Jordan's emerald irises from slightly squinted dark eyes-supposably waiting for an expected response as he skimmed throughout the pages. And when he found that one turnoff of a word-her lips slightly curved as his furious facial features gave way to the expectations of her expected foresee.

Harshly sliding the documents back across the wooden table towards her while folding his hands, "He's a vamp, " Eyes unable to divert from the ones in front of him as he remembered the painful event from his last mission. He had an urge to grip the side of his throat but fought it off. "I won't do it. I won't go near another one of those fucking blood-suckers!"

"You will," She objected, her emotionless expression remaining unfazed. The documents stopped when it slightly brushed against her decorated nails, and then she briefly continued, "Because if you don't...well, do I have to say? I believe you know what will happen."

Jordan took a deep breath and exhaled, skin illuminated from the sun rays seeping through the windows.

"...What method am I to use?" he calmly asked while she motioned one of the waitresses over. That was the first thing they taught a spy, how to change and control your emotions on command. Sadly, he never fully got the hang of it, and it became one of his most exploited weaknesses.

"Any, as long as there are no witnesses. Preferably, get him alone with an escape plan, and if for some reason you are compromised. I can not promise you backup or assistance." She told, a great deal of make-up covering her raw facial imperfections.

It's a solo mission?!

"You're basically saying that I'm on my own with a high chance of failing, and that is just if I don't get killed first!" the calmness-once again-gone from his voice, attracting the temporary attention of nearby eaters.

"That would be what I would say if you were an inexperienced agent. But you aren't, so I don't need to stress any worry over your professional value." her voice sounded like always-nonchalant, accepting the menu from the blonde-haired waitress. "Do you want anything?"

He remained silent for a few seconds, glaring into the dark abyss of her eyes, before standing from the uncomfortable-overly-expensive chair, about to walk away. "Oh, don't fuck this up by trying to be moral. You were never good at it, and that is why last time was unnecessarily messy."

He didn't reply and proceeded to the exit, taking one uncomfortable and hesitating glare towards the headmaster with a slight kiss of his teeth.

Opening the exit, the busy, overpopulated streets and cool fresh air welcomed him as he departed from the restaurant. He released a long, overly-held breath before strolling along with the flow of the crowd. He glanced around for a familiar figure but hadn't caught sight of him nor the car and figured that it would be better to walk to the subway than to wait.

Halfway down the street-his attention was hooked by the abrupt honking of a parked blue Volvo. "Get in!" And before he knew it, he was in the passenger seat next to his blue-haired man.

"So, how did the chat go? She took it well?" The man asked, speeding out onto the open road.

He hesitated, "I didn't tell her... Not when she gave me another assignment." The dark brown brows on the latter's forehead raised but quickly drifted back into their normal position. "You know what she's capable of, and that's why I can't get out yet."

"I do, and I told you that I would protect you. No matter what," He said with faint reassurance.

Jordan was vague if his forced smile was a way to convince himself that he could get out and live a life with his lover or if it was a way to calm the anger that he knew had ignited within the lean, handsome figure driving the car.

"I know you would...will. But I can't risk it right now. And, we still need to figure out other backup plans." Jordan tried to reason. His heart witnessed his lover's worries like it was his own, and right now, it was aching.

"Why can't we just kill that bitch?!" He glimpsed at Jordan as if he knew the thought had crossed his mind.

It did.

However, it would be an impossible assassination to fulfill without the inevitability of being executed themselves. The headmaster had spies scanning and observing her every movement and interaction as a backup for any untimely incident. And because she was well-intended with her fixed daily schedules, that added to the zero percent possibility of killing her successfully.

Nonetheless, Jordan was the type of person who favored the pros over the cons and always based any abrupt decisions only if the percentage of winning was higher than the failing.

Zack, on the other hand, was the exact opposite.

He loved a challenge.

"If I could, I would." he sighed, allowing the dark blue-haired man's fingers to seep into the creases of his. His lover also knew but was still undoubtedly vexed with Jordan.

"...when's it due?"

"Thursday..." Jordan's voice-almost in a whisper.

The other was used to this kind of situation and had made routine questions for if anything were to go unplanned. He hoped one day, he didn't have to worry if his boyfriend would come home safe or even alive.

"Where? And who?" He continued.

"Lala's club at 9 to 12. Possibly longer. The target is Mason Faine." As the thought which always made him overly protective of his lover flickered through his mind, he asked the final inquiry. "Will you sleep with him?"

"...I don't know. Maybe." Jordan felt the pressure of the fingers that belonged to the heated driver tighten. It didn't hurt. But the guilt that was crushing his heart did.

"...A-are you angry with me?"

Jordan heard a forced exhale, "No. I'm just disappointed." The car turned onto an unpaved road and soon within the enclosure of tall, dense trees.

"...Where are we going?"

He replied after a short while, "I need to hunt..."

"Hunt? It's still daytime, and the next full moon's not for another few days." His grip on Jordan's hand waned and soon pressed against the steering wheel.

"I need something to distract me for a while from you. You still need to practice anyways so you won't be completely useless."

Jordan didn't reply. He just nodded.

Although Zack-his boyfriend-was asserting hurtful words, Jordan knew that he didn't mean it and the reason for it was just his wolf impulses. Plus, Jordan couldn't blame him for being angry. He promised that he would announce his resignation to the headmaster for a safe and casual life with his lover, yet he didn't follow through.

Around ten minutes further into the woods, the car came to an abrupt stop, the keys withdrew, and the engine's power roughly died out. Hesitatingly, Zack opened the door and vanished into the dense, green trees without a trace of a word or consideration.

Two And A Half Hours Later

Delivering another harmless, fading spark towards a random tree, Jordan exclaimed his frustration at the harmless spell - "Shit!" - while clenching his hand into a fist, "Fucking useless..."

He had been practicing the same spell for the last two and a half hours, and yet, every time he began to think he was achieving to mastering it, somehow his sorcery performed the opposite.

Even though he knew that his boyfriend didn't mean what he had said, his thoughts wouldn't stop drifting back to those words. Those unintentional hurtful but spoken words ached at his heart.

Before he had time to continue his remarks, a dirt-covered hand enclosed tightly around his waist from the back. "You're far from that. And I'm sorry I was stupid enough to say that you were." his boyfriend's soft and delicately deep voice told in a regretful tone.

The dirt-covered wolf had spent the last three hours hunting and still could not get a fraction of Jordan out of his head, nor in all honesty, did he want to. Hunting was just a way to ease the tension and stress that he had piled up within his being. But now that he had finished, his thoughts were clearer-as well as his mental and physical desires.

Jordan's lips curved into an-instinctive-smile, despite the hints of tears within his eyes. "How was the hunt?... Were you able to distract yourself from me?" His voice and body-forcefully nonchalant.

Zack sighed, resting his chin on Jordan's shoulder, as he rubbed his fingers through the gray hair of his lover, "No, I could never get you out of my head. No matter how much I try. You're like a parasite in my brain."

"Is that supposed to be a compliment? Or just more words you'll apologize for later?" Jordan scoffed, rolling his eyes. The latter was never decent at giving compliments, and Jordan still hadn't gotten used to that one flaw out of all of many.

"Yes, and no, you're my beautiful and ethereal parasite." he tried again, steering his hands around Jordan's shirt while his warm breath softly hitting against Jordan's nape. Jordan knew what the wolf intended to do, he could feel the hormones, but he didn't want that to be the reason.

He wanted it to be because of love, or so he forced his mind to believe.

He unhooked Zack's enclosing grip and turned to face him, meeting the gaze of his lover's light brown iris. He was overwhelmed by the sexual energy that was radiating from the wolf's body before speaking, "I told you already. I don't want to have sex with you only because of your animal hormones. With you, it's different."

Zack's rough palm rose to the latter's cheeks, "That's far from the reason why I want to strip you naked and make love to you in these woods." His other hand squeezing Jordan's ass.

"Then what's the reason?" he inquired, receiving a mischievous smirk from Zack, "You." Jordan's lips once again curved into a smile, but this time, his eyes were full of lust, of love, and Zack seized it as an opportunity to pick Jordan up, leaning him against a tree.
