"Nana, ya skoro budu doma…" Natasha murmured, "I will see you soon, Nana," Natasha stroked a photo of her father with her thumb before putting herself back together, stuffing the photo into her breast pocket and placing her cover onto her head.
Natasha wiped a tear from her eye before taking a deep breath and placing a hand on the grave resting in front of her, "Mama, ya tebya lyublyu," She said in almost a whisper, "I'll make you proud, Mama,"
The grass rustled behind her. Natasha turned on her heel, "Alev," She acknowledged, "Do you need anything?"
Alev gave a smile, "How are you holding up?" She asked, giving a small peck on Natasha's cheek, "You thinking again?"
"Mm…" Natasha patted Alev's head and kissed her forehead, "I was just in the area… Decided to drop by before our deployment,"
Alev nodded, "I getcha," She replied, "You wanna talk about it? It'd probably make you feel better- it has in the past,"
Natasha simply shook her head, "Mm, not today, I am not prepared for a conversation like that just before deployment," She half-joked, "Come along now, Alev, my dear, we'll be late at this rate,"
"Ah, Natasha…" Alev said as Natasha walked past her, "Are you sure you're okay? We can-"
"Alev…" Natasha interjected, wiping a tear from her eye, "I made myself clear, I'm fine,"
Alev stared for a few moments before speaking, "Right… So it appears…"
