Chapter 12 - A whole new world

Oya and everyone got to the island where Athinas told them to be. Oya finds a permanent place for them to stay. One of the rooms in their new place is Oya's room. A shrine. The house was kept by a worshiper of Oya. The people who will mentor the building are all her followers from many different places in the world.

"I did not know that you had this many diverse followers in the world," said Eve to herself.

Oya looks at her and smiles. She goes to Eve and puts her hand on her shoulder. She takes her outside on the streets.

"Eve my special baby... How are you?"

"...I'm good... why do you ask?"

"I sensed your thoughts. I want to show you something. Something special about this place."

Oya takes Eve to a very tall building. There they sat at the edge of the rooftop. They could see the whole city from up there.

"Did you bring me here to see the whole city?" Asked Eve

"Not just that." Said Oya smiling. "There are many more things to show you."

"Okay..."

"Look down."

Eve does what she is told.

"What do you see?"

"I see people and animals alike."

"What else do you observe about them?"

"They come in all shapes and sizes also Skipton."

"Your world is different from this world. No one cares about the colour of your skin, or where you are from. Fun fact about this world is the historical times when slavery and colonialism had got more violent, those who had escaped from the slave masters are the forefathers of the people you see here. All from across your world asked me and some of my fellow gods to aid them and to hide and protect them and their children."

"That is incredible!"

"If you think that is incredible wait till you hear a love story between the young Christian boy and his beloved hunter girlfriend."

"What about them?"

"This was moments before they decided to enslave the people they colonised and the deaths that had happened during their sea travel."

STORY:

The young church boy was very well-liked and loved by the locals. When the boy was ten years old a framer/ hunter promised to give him a gift if he could do a miracle for them. The boy did the miracle and after he did, the framer/hunter promised his two-year-old daughter. At first, the boy's parents disagreed with the offer but another prophet said other for they were truly made for each other from heaven. They grew up together, played, ate, and sang but both had different duties to do.

One day the boy left with his family and some merchants back home. The girl waited for his return day and night just so she could see him which took a very long time. By the time he had returned, there was nothing more than bad news. He told her that they should run and warn many people far and wide about the enslavement of her people.

She did as she was asked since she was also a hunter like her father and knew places within the forest. She told both humans and the so-called 'mythical people' of the forest. Unfortunately, most people did not believe her until it was too late. The young went looking for her. Sadly he did not see her anywhere until he got to their meeting spot. This time it was tears and anger that flooded him. He saw her body next to some horrible words someone had written with their hands.

To his surprise, she had a little breath left in her. With her last breath, she said in her language both of them understood:

"My love. My fair Adam... I love you... Now run before the traitors and their master find you. I hope God and the gods will let us meet again..."

"Amen..." the young boy weeping.

As she kicks the bucket the young boy kisses her on the forehead and just as he does he hears dogs and gunshots. He got up and ran for his life. The dogs followed his smell and they had cornered him. The merchant that had found him told him to just follow the agenda or be part of does who they would kill to have their way. The boy chooses to suffer for what is about to happen will leave a massive scar for a long time. So, he too died a horrible death.

STORY ENDING.

Eve had started crying as the sun began to set.

"So how does this place involve the story?" Asked Eve cleaning away her tears.

"She has two older siblings who are my followers.  The kingdom for that place over there..." Oya points at a massive island not too far from the rest of the land they are on. "One of the siblings made that civilization, her and some people. While the brother was the one who made the civilization we are in right now. When those men killed the young boy unknown to them they were seen by the siblings. They ran for miles just to get to my shrine which was damaged because they were looking for people to enslave. When they got to me and told me what happened, it was more than enough reason for me to hide them and follow my other people who have been enslaved and tormenting their masters."

"That's deep."

"Not to brag but I loved giving some of them a hunted doll and hunting their homes."

Oya looks down and sees Ivan and Calliope. The pirates they had met at sea. Oya jumps down just as Eve follows. Oya catches Eve before landing.

"Hello." Said Oya.

Both pirates scream out of shock but then see Eve.

"Why hello there Eve." Said Calliope smiling at Eve who also returned a flirtatious smile. "And who is there beside you?"

"This is Oya... you don't remember her." Said Eve.

"Really? She looks different. " Said Calliope in shock.

Just as Oya was about to say something Ivan tapped Calliope on the shoulder, asking her about how she lost them and the lie she had told him.

"Forgive her for what she had done. It was more or less my fault we got away." Said Oya. "Also you look lovely. "

"Thanks." Said Ivan with a slight smile on his face as he asked Oya a question. "If you are Oya the goddess of death and war, tell me how I will die?"

There was a slit pause for a moment.

"It will be a bad idea to tell you because death will meet up with you twenty-five good times, different ways, five painful, fifteen really painful ones you did not know killed you and five painless ones that you will survive. Like right now. "

Oya grabs Ivan by the arm dragging him towards her left side and without warning a giant bell falls right where he is standing, cracking and making a big hole in the floor. Everyone but Oya was in shock.

"Make that twenty-four."

"Let's go somewhere else, shall we?" Suggested Eve.

They went to a wine shop and bought drinks and food. The owner of the shop made everything free because he is a follower of  Aya, sister to Oya.

Ivan asked the first question from before.

"Why is it that you changed? You look different and sound different, why is that?"

"Well, handsome." Said Oya playfully as she took a sip of wine. "The thing is I need a real body for people to see me. Just like some humans aren't humans. Some babies were born normal while others are just monsters in the form of human babies. And not all people you see every day are real people. I am not even using a living person. I use dead bodies to see me."

"That means you can change the dead bodies like they are clothes. Am I correct?" Asked Calliope.

"I also can alter the way they look to does not give anyone the hint that a dead body is possessed. We the most powerful gods and entities can do that but sometimes we just don't care."

"Like the fact that you keep the body cold and smelling like incense. A body preserver." Said Eve.

"Yes."

Just as they continued their conversation a seven-foot-five stature entered the bar in a hoodie.  It was standing behind Ivan and Calliope, right where they are situated.

Oya looks behind them. She steers at the tall figure with an absolute loathsome expression. The two who were sitting in front of her noticed her look and turned to see who it was. They saw how tall the person was from their back. The person is buying some sunflower seeds to go with their drink.

Calliope asked Oya why such a dirty look at the person behind them.

"If I told you who it is you won't believe me." Said Oya still looking at him. "And I so hate the two scents coming from him?"

"Him?" Said Ivan, Calliope and Eve in chorus.

The person had finished their order. Just as he turned around to take his leave from the bar, he looked eyes with Oya.

They both steer at each other for about two good minutes.

"Bloody Mary!" Said the individual with terror written on his face.

"Let's all step outside, please. "
