"How ya' holding up?" Jessie pats Lin on the back. The two of them are in a dimly lit bar, all by themselves.
"Okay I guess." Lin sighs as he swirls the cup in his hand, swishing around the ice.
"Don't drink too much, you're still 18." Jessie laughs as he opens a new bottle of beer. "Maybe when you're older youll enjoy the more finer things in life." He places the bottle on his lips and starts gulping it down. Tiny droplets of beer trip down the side of his mouth.
"I'm not a beer kinda guy." The alcohol in Lin's drink was whiskey, a dark brown and oak color. He takes the entire cup and drinks it in one shot. "Agh!" Lin says in disgust as the alcohol burns his throat.
"That's right!" Jessie laughs as he aggressively slaps Lin on the back.
"Okay! Okay!" Lin says in a raspy voice as he coughs. "It all just kind of feels, ethereal." Lin places the cup down onto the counter. "Like it isn't real."
