"Hey Andrei! Come here for a sec!" Coach Vin called out to Andrei.
He's still concerned about his status after the fight. Andrei's opponent in the Middleweight division attempted to take the championship belt but he was able to defend his title and knocked out his opponent.
"Andrei! Let's celebrate!" his manager happily shouted. He is drunk and quite loud in the club, "We're celebrating your win!"
Ah yes, his win in the MMA fight. He managed to protect his title and maintain his undefeated record. He should be happy, after all, he almost backed out due to personal issues.
'Personal issues, my ass'
That was his coach's excuse to the press when Andrei was dealing with anxiety and vices. He guessed partying and spending a lot of time with beautiful women are vices too, right?
But, his coach set him straight. Coach Vin monitored him all day and even moved in his house. That's how determined that old man was in making him a decent fighter. Months of serious training and controlled diet worked. Although, even after all of that, he missed the happy times. Partying, right? But why, even in a club full of gorgeous women, why can't he focus and have fun?
"Ah this is shit," he murmured. Andrei stood up and walked towards the door. He can't take it anymore. The loud music, the horrible smell, and the crowd. He needed to get away. He stepped outside to the parking lot and was about to light a cigarette when a lady carrying a cup of warm coffee suddenly bumped into him.
"Watch it!" Andrei shouted irritatingly.
"Sorry, I didn't see you," the lady said weakly.
"You didn't see me? Are you kidding me lady?" Andrei became more irritated. He just wants to relax but now he can't and to add to that, he's wet with coffee. "This is shit!"
"I'm sorry, let me grab some wipes and…" the lady grabbed some from her bag and tried to clean some of the traces of coffee from his hand.
Andrei yanked his hand away, "Don't touch me! Stay away from me you piece of shit. Do you know how much these clothes are?
"Didn't you hear my apology? I didn't bump into you on purpose," the lady said defiantly.
"What?! Are you telling me that your apology is enough? Listen, you're the one who bumped into me. Pay up!" Andrei wouldn't let this go so easily.
"Pay up?" the lady rolled her eyes.
"Did you just?" Andrei asked.
"Humans are very interesting, I see. I've only been here for a few days but I've already met a ton of people like you," the lady said with a bored voice.
Suddenly, the lights in the parking lot went out. The noises from the club and the people on the street disappeared. It was quiet but Andrei could feel the presence of the lady. He's beginning to get anxious so he tried to walk but he couldn't move his legs. He tried to shout but his mouth wouldn't open. He was desperate to do something but it's impossible. It's as if the lady is controlling him/
'Wh-why can't I move? What's happening?'
"I told you, you're interesting, right?" the lady stared at him, "You seem to be quite a playboy too, and what's this? A fighter?"
"Don't mess with me, woman," Andrei tensed.
"You just came back from a fight that you won and now, you're celebrating. Why couldn't you just be a good boy and enjoy the club?" The lady's voice was smooth and carefree yet there's an ounce of authority to it. "Should I give you an important lesson?"
"A lesson? And, what is happening? Who are you?" Andrei asked. He's tired of all of this.
"Ah! I thought you'd never ask. I'm Sylvia, to humans I'm a deity. Nice to meet you Andrei," Sylvia said with a smirk.
"A deity? Ah, I think I know what's going on/ Let me get my phone. I'll call the mental hospital for you," Andrei jokingly said.
"How could you call them when you can't even move a single finger? I only let you open your mouth since I want to talk to you," Sylvia chuckled.
"What do you want?" He's running out of patience.
"Wow, I'm impressed, aren't you afraid?" she pushed more.
"Don't make me laugh. Deity or whatever supernatural crazies out there, I'm not scared. Why should I be afraid of you? You're nothing without your powers and it's not like I believe you," Andrei retorted.
"Fair enough, shall I show you how powerful I am?" Sylvia's demeanor changed. Her eyes glowed and her voice became more intense. "There's a sheltered princess in Wen Kingdom who really needs your help. She could use a little of your feistiness. She's a beauty too but unfortunately, she killed herself in the pond near her palace. I'll let you be her. What do you say?"
Andrei began to feel dizzy. He cannot think straight and for a moment he thought that it was because of the booze. But no, he didn't drink a single drop of alcohol, but, why does it seem like the world is spinning. Why? Could it be that this crazy lady really is a deity? No, it can't be. He doesn't believe in those supernatural things. He only believes in himself. He only trusts himself. His achievements in the MMA world are all thanks to his hardwork and the support of that old man, Coach Vin.
To believe in deities, fairies, and other shitty fairy tales are not his thing. He will not let this lady have her way. Those are for kids, for people who cannot face their own demons. He conquered them all, he was successful. He doesn't need anything else.
"You are very arrogant, young man. Let me take to the Wen Kingdom where you will learn how to depend and care for others," Sylvia softly muttered.
With that, Andrei lost consciousness and fell asleep.
~
"Is she awake?" a lady anxiously asked.
The bed is so soft and the sheets smelled good. Andrei thought that he must've been in his apartment. That was good, it was all a dream. The lady wasn't real after all.
"All those shitty things about deities, fairies, and the Wen Kingdom are not true," Andrei yawned, his eyes still closed.
"Princess? What is not true?" the lady asked.
Ah what a beautiful voice! Wait, another voice from a lady? Did he bring a woman from the club last night? He couldn't remember, or maybe his manager was drinking with him and ordered a sexy woman to accompany him throughout the night. That was probably it, his manager knows he's a sucker for attractive women. Although, how come he can't remember anything about it at all? Did he do a fantastic job last night? He can't remember. Was she satisfied? Crap! Was he even satisfied?
"Princess? Hello? Are you okay?" the lady asked again.
"Princess? So I brought home two women?" Andrei sat up immediately and scanned the room. If he brought home two women and he can't remember what happened then those ladies are definitely not going home today. He needs to repeat his performance or anything.
Andrei was about to speak when he saw the lady in front of her wearing a long blue dress with puffed sleeves. Her hair styled in a bun. She's carrying a tray with a bowl on it.
"Your highness, you must be tired. Here is a bowl of soup for you," the lady said.
"Highness? Who?" he asked.
"Ah!" The lady gasped and let go of the tray. "My lady, it's you. You're the one I'm talking about! Hold on, let me call the royal physician," before Andrei could stop her, the lady ran outside the room.
"What is she talking about?" he scanned the room, "What a grand room!" Andrei stood up and looked at the furniture. The curtains are cleaned and someone must've embroidered the decorations on them. The tea set on the table must've cost a fortune. He continued to walk until he passed a large mirror. He stepped backwards and looked at the mirror again. He's seeing a woman, no, a girl, probably 16 years old.
"She's pretty. I'd do you if you're not a minor," he smirked, then paused. "Did that girl just talk? Hold on, it was me who-"
Andrei wasn't able to finish his sentence because the lady came back quickly. "Royal physician, please save her!"
"Now, hold on. What are you talking about? Who needs saving?" Andrei asked, then he paused again. He heard a female voice. "What the fuck just happened?! Who are you people?"
"Princess Sarasi, please relax. I'm Leorio, a royal physician here in the palace," Leorio calmly said.
"Princess? Me? I'm not a woman, you dipshit!" Andrei shouted as he ran towards Leorio to punch him. Leorio, who is nervous and scared, ran so Andrei wouldn't catch him.
Leorio ran toward the sofa and tried to put as much distance between him and the princess. "I didn't know Princess Sarasi was this wild! I thought she's a sheltered princess!"
"Shut up! Who are you calling princess?! Come here and let me give you a few of my good punches,"Andrei said as she jumped on the sofa and held Leorio's sleeves but before he could throw a punch, her hand was grabbed by someone. "What do you think you're doing?"
"I was about to ask you that. What do you think you're doing, Princess Sarasi of Wen Kingdom?" a man wearing a golden robe said. He has black hair yet, his eyes' color is like that of the deepest sea. It was hypnotizing.
"Who are you? Let me go," Andrei muttered.
"My name is Toshi and I'm the prince of Lei Kingdom. Ah, I'm also your fiance, nice to meet you," Prince Toshi said while holding Andrei's arm and smirking at her.
"No way, this is all a dream, it must be!"
