Anne tried to get to her feet to greet Amelia, but her knees were suddenly weak and she could not stand up. She could only sit down and look on as Amelia approached her. It felt like yesterday Amelia was coming to visit her in her tower, but it was actually two years.
There was so much about Amelia that had changed in two years. Anne could see that Amelia had grown taller even if it was just by a little bit. She didn't see Amelia as a little girl, but a grown lady most likely because she was married now.
Cordelia and Ramona backed away from Anne to give the mother and daughter a moment alone for them to hug and catch up with each other. This moment was all Anne ever spoke of since they brought her back into this world. They could now stop worrying about Anne being sad that she could not see her daughter.
For Amelia, it was a bit odd to look at someone who did not resemble her mother, but carried her mother's soul.
