"Killian, I never had the chance to ask. What was the response you got when you sent word to the Blackwell castle that we were coming?" Amelia asked. She assumed that no one in the Blackwell castle wanted them to come down from the mountain. How had Killian convinced them?
"I never sent a message."
Amelia pushed Killian's hand away from her face and sat up to look at him. "Please tell me you are joking. You could not possibly have us going to the castle and you have not told anyone we are coming. With the number of people we are travelling with, they will think there is war and prepare to fight," Amelia said, worried about how it would turn out when they reached the border.
"I sent a letter a day before and received a welcome," Alastor said before Amelia could lose her mind. "Killian had instructed me to do so."
"Wonderful!" Amelia sighed in relief. War was coming, but it wasn't right now. "What do you get out of making me worry?"
