"Ugh. Why is it so hot?" Amelia groaned. She tossed and turned in her bed before opening her eyes and almost screamed at the sight before her but she realized in time that she was in the north. "It is morning already? It is still unbelievable that I sleep through the night now."
Amelia stretched her body before she slowly sat up from the bed. She truly owed Killian something for helping her be able to sleep peacefully at night. "Where is Killian? Why doesn't he inform me before he knocks me out? Killian?" She called out for him.
The room was silent enough to hear a pin drop. She crawled to the edge of the bed, placing her feet on the warm floor, and then stood up to look around for Killian. She wouldn't be surprised if he had to step out for a moment. Today was a big day for Amelia as she would be introduced to his people as their future queen.
