"This is going to take a year off of my life but I need him," Amelia sighed as she built up the courage to knock on Cyrus's door. She looked to the side of the room Jahi was supposed to be in and hoped the woman would not hear her knocking and come outside. Amelia was not in the mood to deal with animosity when there would at the truce meeting in the next hour.
"Cyrus-oh," Amelia felt her soul leave her body when Jahi opened the door and glared at her. Jahi was dressed in one of Cyrus's shirts and nothing more. "Good morning. You look well today. How are you feeling?"
"Really? That's what you want to ask someone a day after they were rescued from being a slave. You-"
Cyrus covered Jahi's mouth with his hand. "Do not mind her, princess. Did you need something?"
