"Amelia, I was starting to think you were not going to show up for breakfast again. Was there something wrong?" Margaret asked, deeply concerned for Amelia. After their moment in her bedroom, she wanted to be around Amelia more and check in when Amelia was not present.
"No, everything is alright," Amelia sat in her usual seat. "I needed to make a quick detour before coming. How are you, grandmother?"
"The stairs are a pain in the ass but I am not giving up my wonderful room. I'm seriously contemplating having someone lift me down the stairs or just enjoy eating in my room. No one would miss this old girl," Margaret replied.
Amelia opened her mouth to reply when Fraser beat her to it.
"That is not true. I would miss you grandmother," Fraser said.
