"Why are you laughing? I am being serious," Killian said after Amelia's laughter died down.
"Because you were telling me a joke. You really want me to believe that we got married what felt like yesterday and now today I have a child inside of me. Not just any child, but a demon who is feeding on my soul so I have to feed on souls from the underworld. It is funny," Amelia laughed, wiping tears from her eyes.
"What other child would it be other than a demon when you have a demon husband? This is not something I would joke about. If it is too much of a shock for you, you should lie down and think-"
Amelia abruptly stood up. "How am I to lie down when you are claiming that I am already carrying our child and I have eaten a soul? You are closer to me than Lilith. It must be a trick since you did not notice. Isn't it?"
