Anne's hand shook with anger. She wanted to do so much more to Margaret, but she could not right now with so many eyes watching. She needed to get rid of Margaret without Amelia finding out.
Margaret got over the shock of being slapped by the stranger and raised her hand to return the slap. "You! How-"
Cordelia pulled Anne away before she could be slapped. They had raised Anne by never laying a finger on her because she had always been a good child who followed their words. No one in the Blackwell castle had a right to lay a hand on her.
"So this is her," Ramona said, coming between Anne and the old woman. "You've got some nerve to kill my daughter."
"She's not your daughter," Sybil muttered.
"I have not killed anyone's daughter," Margaret said, her eyes glued to the woman who laid a hand on her. She had never seen any of these people before.
