"You did not need to follow me back to my room," Amelia muttered.
"Now that you no longer have a guard, I will keep an eye on you until I find one of my men who will be fit to guard you. The last one completely gave up and never went back to guarding you. I almost strangled him when I learned he abandoned my order."
"I have a guard," Amelia told Killian as they walked back to her room after dinner. "He is just busy tending to Jahi. I knew he would be busy once he found her so I am fine with it and do not need a guard for now. Tomorrow is my last day here. I will be around my grandmother and you for the most part so there is no need for a guard."
Killian disagreed with her. "Just because the castle has been peaceful does not mean you don't need to be without a guard. I still see many people wanting to hurt you."
