Ferrin's heart numbed down as he gazed at the shadow rapidly devouring the land he called hope.

His eyes moved down, glancing at Aria. She was also staring at him with her mesmerisingly calm brown eyes, not a hint of fear anywhere on her slightly pale face due to blood-loss.

She was even smiling! Her smile was gentle and beautiful, her eyes unmoving from Ferrin's face.

Seeing him glance at her with his defeated look, Aria smiled even more sweetly, she raised her hand and held his face, "Don't worry! Don't give up! Keep hoping! And hope only for the best! Hope will guide you! So never give up! Be brave! Braver than anyone! And braver than everyone! If you have hope here," She touched his chest, "Everything will work out just fine!"

The words drifted like a soothing melody in Ferrin's ears. Even in this hell, where the wind was thrown in turmoil. The rhythmic thudding of the Giant's feet drowning all mannerism of noise. Where in the middle of the day the land had turned gloomy in the shade of the night...he could hear her!

Her voice was a melody he could never forget! Her feelings were a tune he could always grasp! Her words were the comfort that could always reach him.

He smiled, somewhat scared and sweat drenching his fur, his eyes flickered in mixed emotions wondering if he would survive... but he smiled... and nodded his head, 'I will, mom! I have... no plans of despairing for the death that has yet to knock at my soul's door!'

His eyes lit up, burning in vigour! Hope reignited under his hazy eyes, as he turned around, a thing, akin to a dream occurred. Something... of a miracle, no less.

A sound akin to a mini explosion occurred from somewhere nearby, followed suit by the Giant's right, blood coloured eye bursting into a puddle of blood.

The world drenched in the darkness akin to that of the night... turned eerily silent.

The thudding stopped. The chaotic wind blew for a while longer before coming to a halt. The group who were desperately running came to a halt seeing Ferrin abruptly pausing.

Ferrin's eyes widened in response to the fountain of blood falling out from the destroyed eye.

'๐‘Šโ„Ž๐‘Ž๐‘ก ๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘’... โ„Ž๐‘’๐‘๐‘˜?' Ferrin's heart started beating rapidly, his hazy eyes started morphing into snake like slits, he licked his lips excitedly, '๐˜พ๐™๐™–๐™ฃ๐™˜๐™š!!'

As if Ferrin's hope had turned true, a loud shout, akin to a ray of hope reached out from high above, "GOOO!! KEEP ON GOING! DON'T STOP! RUN ANYWHERE YOU WANT JUST DON'T TURN SOUTH FROM HERE!!! GOOOO! LEAVE THINGS HERE TO USSS!"

Ferrin's head moved upwards, his heart stirred as he gazed at the ones willingly jumping into this hell of despair.

"Run! RUNNN!" Ferrin jumped backwards and started dashing away, the words kept hammering into his mind, 'Anywhere but south! Anywhere but south!'

The group of 6 moved again, their hearts fluttering like little new-borns... was it hope? That was giving them such joy right now?

***

Loki pushed his square glasses upwards, "Are you sure, Hinomi? That monkey is trust-worthy?"

"Hmm!" Hinomi nodded her head. Her eyes still unmoving from Ferrin. Her heart was beating rapidly for some reason, '๐‘†๐‘œ๐‘š๐‘’๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘–๐‘›๐‘” ๐‘–๐‘  ๐‘ ๐‘ก๐‘Ÿ๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘”๐‘’... ๐‘ฃ๐‘’๐‘Ÿ๐‘ฆ ๐‘ ๐‘ก๐‘Ÿ๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘”๐‘’!'

"Alright then! Enough of that! We have to focus on our plan! Hehehe! Though I seriously want to praise you, Tipp, to the high heavens but I will do that at the end!" Loki grinned cockily, they would've had a lot of issue locating the Giant had it not been for Tipp marking it down with his superpower.

They had been observing every second of the Giant all the time since Tipp brought out his trump card after their last meeting.

"Hehe! Leave it to me to keep all eyes peeled!" Tipp chuckled, the praise from a third circle did mean something to him. Even though he wasn't the one to take heed of unnecessary flattery.

"Alright!" Loki scrapped his grin and turned serious, from the roof of the building he was standing at along with all the non-combative guardians except Hinomi, he gazed down at the five guardians who had landed in front of the Giant.

It naturally included Posco and Chiso and another three guardians.

All five of them were combative, or sub-combative type guardians.

The one who had fired that monstrous shot which blew away the monkey's eyes was Vop, he could morph things into greater versions pf themselves, he had morphed the superpower of Posco, a machine gun with infinite bullets to create a heavy impact gun.

Sadly it was too big and could only be used when both of them joined hands. So it was currently on hold for now.

The other two were Jacop and Sike. Jacop was a ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜€๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ type Guardian while Sike was an ordinary combative type.

"Do we still wait?" Posco asked through his mind, the Guardians were all connected through Loki's ability.

Chiso glanced at a child size sub-machine gun in Posco's hand while shaking his head, '๐‘Šโ„Ž๐‘ฆ ๐‘Ž๐‘ ๐‘˜?

Though he wasn't one to speak either, the black blade machete in his hand was glistening evilly in this dark place.

"Haha! Calm yourself, senior Posco! Why are you in such a rush?" Vol calmly flicked the blade-less staff in his hand. His gentle smile akin to being glued to his face.

"Vol, the Genius! Someday I would like to fight against you!" Sike chuckled to himself, his hand affixed to the hilt of his katana.

Looking at him would awaken many questions, as to why the heck was he wearing shorts and a T-shirt filled with various teas. The reason for his sealed eyes and plugged ears during a freaking real fight!

"Hehe! My senior! How dare this lowly one engage with you? And besides, why would you even wish to fight with a 13 year old in the first place? I am sure you have better options!" Vol scratched his silky black hair sillily, his mesmerising black eyes scrutinising Sike's long, pony-tailed purplish hair as they fluttered in the wind.

"Look at you guys being so calm!" Mopi shook his head speechlessly, he turned to stare at Loki, his eyes hidden behind a black long strap.

Looking at his attire, one would wonder which medieval world they had transferred into to be seeing a ninja walking in broad day light.

"They are out of my sight, my power won't work on them any further." Mopi turned serious, his head moved away from the street where Ferrin and the others and rushed into. He was the one who had used his power on them, giving them a push in their speed earlier.

Seeing the Giant finally snapping out of the shock, everyone turned serious.

"Alright! Go provide support down below! All of you! Ready up! Bombard it on the count of three." Loki nodded towards Mopi before looking down at the combative guardians.

Jacop's burly physique shook the ground as he took one step at a time towards the Giant. His thick dirty blonde hair reaching down to his shoulders moved gently along with him. His large pale yellow eyes devoid of any mannerism of fear.

"The wind is so serene!" Sike grinned as he looked above. "Can my dazzling blade move it, I wonder?" He tilted his eyes, his mysterious smile could stir many hearts.

He crouched low, his smile vanishing into a devilish grin, his katana 's sheath lit up in a blinding glow.

"Time to... Chop! Chop!" Chiso's eyes slowly became numb as he started running towards the Giant, his fat belly and muscle moving left to right, in sync with his pace.

"NOW!!!"

"KEEWWW!" A hawk like screech pierced out of Jacop's mouth. His dirty blode hair took on fire which slowly engulfed his whole body.

Admits the human fire he had turned into, two large flaming wings sprouted out, he flung his wings down and soared into the air.

The dazzling light on Sike's blade turned almost blinding, without removing the sheath, Mopi swung his katana forward, sending out that light in the form of a sharp arc.

Vol kept smiling gently as he rushed at a horrofic pace towards the Giant, his hand flicked the staff again, causing two slits to open up from where two sharp blades came out.

Chiso jumped atop the feet of the Giant and his machete started moving at a dashing speed, cutting apart the thick skin of the Giant and beginning to mess up the flesh of the Giant. It was like a gruesome dance, surrounded by flying flesh and blood as his machete kept moving artistically.

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

Bullets rained out of Posco's gun as the wind echoed with the sound of his laughter.

The Giant's vein popped out of its skull, its left eyes moved in a rapid motion as it gazed at the tiny pests all around ita wide body.

It lips parted apart, revealing its tightly gritted teeth. It raised its hand high before squatting all the pests away.

The moment the Giant raised its hand, Loki's eyes flickered in horror. He stepped forward and shouted loudly, "MOVE BACK!"

The instant Mopi landed on the ground, he activated his power on all the guardians, granting them the push they needed to escape the Giant's attack.

WHOOSH!

The horrifying pressure swept by the force of the Giant caused all of the guardians near it to skid back.

The Giant's eye flickered maliciously, it opened its mouth wide and started sucking in air before letting it all out in a ear-piercing scream.

"๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜๐—˜!"

The scream contained all the wrath and hate of the Giant, maybe that was why... it had stirred all the other monkeys in this accursed nightmare into motion.

From the various buildings all around, hundreds of monkeys started walking outside. Their green eyes strangely blank as if in a state of trance.

"What the heck... is happening?" Miki looked around in fright and confusion, unable to comprehend this sight.

Tipp did a slapping motion, causing a screen to appear. The sight came from right above the Giant, this was how they had been keeping track of the Giant.

"Horrifying! Its like a sea that is slowly drowning everything." Tipp stepped back in horror, he had never seen such a horrifying sight.

Julet frowned as she gazed at all this, '๐‘†โ„Ž๐‘œ๐‘ข๐‘™๐‘‘ ๐ผ ๐‘ข๐‘ ๐‘’ ๐‘–๐‘ก?' Her eyes flickered towards the guardians betting their lives as they fought the Giant, '๐‘๐‘œ, ๐‘–๐‘ก๐‘  ๐‘›๐‘œ๐‘ก ๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘’ ๐‘Ÿ๐‘–๐‘”โ„Ž๐‘ก ๐‘ก๐‘–๐‘š๐‘’!'

A monkey suddenly threw open the door of the roof and walked out. Its eyes dazed like all the other's.

It grinned viscously while starting to hurry towards the direction of Loki.

"Shit!" Tipp cursed under his breath while walking in its path.

"Don't block it. Let it come." Loki stared straight into the monkey's eyes. He could smell the pungent scent of strangeness in the air.

The monkey walked passed him, the vicious smile still on its face. It jumped down from the roof and started running in a particular direction.

Almost all the other monkeys were moving in that same direction as well.

"Wait! That's where... he went!" Hinomi's eyes widened in horror of this realisation.

Her heart started to beat louder and louder, "Faced with all these monkeys he will... die!" A piercing pain struck Hinomi's head. Her vision tilted fo the side as her breath became hampered.

"No! I won't... I can't let him die!" Hinomi gripped her spear and jumped down as well.

"Where are you going, Hinomi?" Loki shouted as he gazed at her figure land on the ground.

"These monkeys... they are all moving towards those unconscious ones' I need to protect them!" Hinomi answered calmly, her blood coloured eyes looking at all the monkeys who were ignoring her in a timid way. She wasn't scared... she was worried.

"We just need to follow the plan! Everything... everything will be fine after!" Loki furrowed his brows, trying to understand what Himomi had in mind.

But he refrained himself from peeking. Ashe felt that wouldn't be very dignified.

"No... I... he... I must save him!" Hinomi firmed her heart, her eyes coldly looked all around her. He feet didn't pause for an instance. Her first priority was meeting up with him.

"Why go to such length?" Loki asked in surprise, he had never heard of the Slave of Love, showing such emotions or desire to protect someone. Her only known fondness was killing the Corruptor's.

"Because..." Hinomi's frown deepened, her eyes flickered as she asked herself why?

Her feet didn't stop moving, her kept beating anxiously, her eyes turned somewhat strange, she spoke up, almost as if she was answering herself, "Its because... There is something about him that I fe-" Her eyes shot wide open, she paused, horrified at the image that of the two similar boys that had formed in her head.

"What?" Loli asked while blinking his eyes in confusion.

"Yes! Because I have a promise I have to fulfil!" Hiomi's eyes slowly returned to their normal self.

"Promise huh? I guess... I can truly bot stop you." Loli chuckled, reminiscing of a distant past.

***

Two aloof green eyes looked down at this whole chaos with overwhelming glee.

The Dwarf glanced at the Genius, "You seem quite happy, master!"

"Hehehe! Of course! Why wouldn't I? Look at this! This beautiful work of art, look at it! As everything in this world strives to achieve my goal, why would I not be happy?!" The Genius chuckled merrily, his eyes glancing down at Ferrin who was still running, unaware of why all these monkeys had started coming out one by one.

"Keep running! My game... We shall play it together, as you arrive in the stage!"

Hearing the eerie and ecstatic voice of the Genius, even the Dwarf felt shivers run down its spine. It looked up with reverence as the Genius embraced itself while relishing at Ferrin's misery.
