Ferrin's tail shot up, erect like a pole and lashed at the monkeys.
Yet his unrelenting strikes failed to hinder the monkeys large numbers.
The monkeys burst forth from the gap created in his tail and pounced on him.
Ferrin punched out his claws and pierced towards them.
His tail drifted back to aid him as he pushed back the monkeys and prepared himself for the one's about to charge.
'Not good, there's got to be another way for me to get rid of them.' The walls beside him gave him some relief.
At least the monkeys couldn't just circle around him and as for the monkeys coming from the passage.
Aoci's face was enough to remind Ferrin that the wall forged in her blood couldn't be shattered. After all... sacrifices were committed for a reason.
'Think Ferrin, Think! How can I kill all of them?' Ferrin growled and leapt at the monkeys attempting to run past him.
"KEEE!"
Suddenly a monkey took advantage of his distraction and i jured him with its claws.
Blood rushed to Ferrin's mouth as he pulled out the monkeys fingers from his gut while repelling the other monkeys from getting past him.
The grand mystery box of who would attack him and who would try to run past him created a wonderful symphony that served to boost Ferrin into stress.
Ferrin smacked the monkey's skull who had injured him and pierced his claws in its neck.
The sweet moment of revenge didn't serve to ease his mood as the momentary distraction led to a few monkeys jumping past him.
"KIYAAA!" Ferrin's tail rushed in front of the monkeys grinning from ear to ear, giving way for more monkeys to charge over.
Ferrin gritted his teeth and spread his tail to cover the breadth of the passage and pulled back with force.
"KEEE!"
"KEK!"
The monkeys, trembling from excitement, shrieked as the tail hurled them away from the girls and back into the boys.
Maybe the loath for being with boys and barely missing being with the girls caused their faces to be morphed in regret and sadness?
'UGGHHH! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!' As Ferrin groaned in frustration, a monkey jumped from head to head of its brethren and tried leaping past Ferrin.
"CAN YOU STOP COMING UP WITH NEW TRICKS TO PISS ME OFF!?" Ferrin's tail rushed back like a viper, causing the monkeys it was pushing back to rush ahead.
The tail gripped around the monkey and smacked him at the tides of monkeys trying to take advantage of his sacrifice.
Ferrin grinded his teeth, veins bulging on his forehead, "DON'T MESS WITH ME!!"
Ferrin's tail heavily lashed at the group of monkeys charging towards him.
In an attempt to push them back, he charged over.
Yet the many monkeys in the front lunged over and forced him into a fight.
Ferrin's instinctively summoned his tail blocking the monkeys and hurled it towards the monkeys.
Only after seeing them skidding back did he snap out from his thoughts.
His eyes rushed back, 'SHIT?' Ferrin growled and leapt at the monkeys rushing towards the girls.
His tail swerved forward and slapped at the monkeys' legs, causing them to fall face-first.
Ferrin rushed to them and killed them, his tail going back and hindering the monkeys trying to over-take them.
Seilo sighed, 'How long will you protect us like this? Hahaha! Thankfully, not too long.
'We were a burden to begin with, you saved us the first time you met us, then you had to save us every other time. All of us... are hindering you.
'So I lead them all to you, so that... once I lead all of them to their death, our weight wouldn't drag you down and look! It's working. I am succeeding!
'I managed to change you, at least a little bit, I didn't want you to take other burdens after finally being free of us, so I made you... take the brunt of the losses, so that you could be strong!
'You were, indeed, somebody He sent to me! You may have saved me, but what He desired was for me to save you.
'Good people like you don't last long, so He wanted me to make you a cruel person.
'Neglect us! Just look, I know, deep down, you know too, it you stop caring about us, you will win!'
'If you're alone, you will become unbeatable!
'I got rid of Ficko, Paul and Aoci and before long, Ano and me too, will perish! But me... I must be punished!
'For tainting you!
'You... you must be the one to end me! Hahaha! Then I'll know, I succeeded.' A smile blossomed on Seilo's face as she glanced at the smile on... Ferrin's face.
"A-Aira?'' Ano stepped closer to Aira, her motionless face finally breaking into a frown.
Ferrin's ears twitched, 'MOM!'
Ferrin bared his fangs and rushed at the monkeys even more ruthlessly.
"Umm!" Aria's eyes quivered before gently peeking open.
"Mhm? Ferr-in?" As her vision clarified, her eyes lost some of their glitter seeing Ano, she turned her head, looking for her son.
The voice was weak and broken but... it pounded more fiercely into Ferrin then anything here ever could.
"Ke-ke?" His head turned around, his mouth slightly loose, the world seemed to freeze as the two's eyes met.
But... the world didn't freeze.
"KEEEE!"
The monkeys bellowed even more vigorously and leapt towards the girls.
'SHIT!' Ferrin's eyes burned as he felt his senses tingling.
'I won't make it!' His throat went hoarse, his heart squeezed together as if it would burst.
But before it could, something else burst apart.
Ferrin didn't realize it due to the throbbing adrenaline but... the atmosphere had heated up.
And away from his eyes, some special glass containers with a warning sign, indicating to keep away from heat... started to crack under the warmth.
The gasses sealed inside flickered dangerously before the glass cracked apart... the gases gushed out and mixed with the outside atmospheres and without any warning.
Non-stop, back to back explosions erupted!
Fire ignited out of nowhere and enveloped the air.
The mere brush of it against the curtains caused them to be caught in its malicious grasp.
The fire travelled down from it and lit up the floor in its path to the tables and sofas.
The shockwave from the blast hurled the monkeys all around, Ferrin was no exception, neither were the girls.
Ferrin raised his head from the floor and gazed forward, he could see his mother, trying to drag herself towards him.
'Mother!' His eyes turned moist, 'Mom!'
He pushed his body up and crawled over to her side.
He sat on his knees and placed her head on his lap.
His hand brushed past her face, pushing aside her hair and tucking them behind her ears.
"Fe-rrin!" Aria smiled like a sunflower, the warmth radiating from her melted the devil encroaching upon Ferrin into ash.
"Mom!" Ferrin's eyes welled up and translucent orbs fell from his eyes atop Aria's cheeks.
Her smile brightened, she raised her hand meekly, attempting to reach his face but her strength fell short.
Ferrin grasped her hand and lowered his face.
As her rough hand brushed past his chubby face, his tears gushed out like a dam had been broken.
"M-mom!" His cheek snuggled against her's. His figure trembled as he felt all of his melting away.
"My son!" Aria's voice quacked as she felt her heart tightening, "I'm so glad, so glad to see you fine!"
"Mhm!" Ferrin's lips trembled, his tears leaving trails on his dusty face.
"I so glad... you finally woke up!" Ferrin clenched Aria's hand tightly, his force caused her skin to whiten, yet Aria didn't flinch.
"Mhm! My son, my precious son!" Aria tightly wrapped her hand around his head.
Ferrin's tears slipped onto Aria's face, his hand brushing past her hair.
"Mom!"
"Mhm?"
"Don-Don't ever leave me!"
"I won't!"
"Promise?"
"...Hmm!"
Ferrin nodded.
"I swear... for you, I will kill every devil, inside and outside, anything that brings harm to you! Either emotional or physical, I will rip it to shreds!
So just stay with me, like this! I don't want to loss you, ever! You... you are the only place my heart can beat in!
Without you... I will become an incomplete person!
But when I am with you... I am whole! So please... mom, don't you ever leave me!"
Aria's hand gently stroked Ferrin, "I won't!" A smile on her face, "Ever!"
"FERRIN!" Seilo's wobbly eyes snapped wide as she saw a monkey sneak up to Ferrin. She screamed at the top of her lungs and pushed him aside. The monkey's out-stretched claws shoved inside her waist with a sharp sound.
Blood splattered atop the ground, dying the floor and Aria in blood.
. . . .
The air turned silent.
Ferrin's heart throbbed like thunder, its drumming noise piercing into his ears. His back ached slightly as if he was pushed, feeling the warm ground against his face, his body shivered slightly.
His ears twitched, he could hear somebody cough heavily. Some kind of liquid fell upon the floor. Making him confused.
Without even turning back, he felt something crawl along his spine and whisper to his soul like a mother singing a lullaby to her child, 'But... a devil I am!'
The voice, overwhelmed by mockery and contempt, numbed Ferrin's mind temporarily.
Ferrin's heart halted momentarily, his eyes thinned into bleak lines- lost and dazed.
