Chapter 25 - The Character Becomes... Unnecessary

'Blood...' Ferrin's left eye wholly dyed in and mixed along with Aria's blood which had fallen straight on to his pupils.

'Its fine... really! There's no difference if Ferrin lives or not, if mother dies and Ferrin lives. He will become the devil she detests. If Ferrin dies and Aria lives... she would say it was best he became a devil. So... isn't it good? That before regret sets in, I become the devil and save Aria from dying and save her from a future, where she herself wishes for the devil's birth?' A chuckle escaped out of Ferrin's mouth.

His left eye darted away from the hand and stared at the monkey - still smiling innocently.

"Life is... fun! Isn't it?" Ferrin's words froze the monkey's smile and caused to flee back into the shape of its lips.

"Ke_" Its word's didn't move forward, but Ferrin's claws surely pierced through its throat and peeked from the other side.

"Sadly, I am already very happy like this!" Ferrin sighed and lowered his chin, "I mean," His left eyes eerily walked away from the ground and into the monkey's eyes, "Just seeing this blood of yours spilling out and cooling my being! That's enough! Like... I am... very happy!"

As his claws drew out, causing the monkey's blood to stain his face, the wound on his face and gut slowly filled up. Like he hadn't even been harmed.

But, the same couldn't be said about Aria, 'Don't scream! Gulp! I beg you, don't scream! Don't scream Aria, this pain, keep it to yourself! Gulp!' Her vision trembled as her bloody hand drew closer and closer, each sec caused her chest to heave up and down like she had just ran a mountain.

'Don't scream! This pain... it's... nothing!' Her shaky eyes turned calmly still as the gaping holes clearly turned visible in her eyes, the blood and veins protruding out from the hand, causing a piercing numbness and coldness to strike her.

"UGHHH!"

But... pain... is something.

Ferrin's eyes diluted into hair like slits, his accursed gaze peering down at Aria's wretched face, the tears she had been holding back spew out and burst forth like they didn't knew how to stop. Spit flew out of her wide jaw, flying through and landing atop Ferrin's face.

'She's... in pain!' Ferrin's head slowly leaned sideways. Unaware of what had occurred around him.

"Yea, this is how the game proceeds! Now then, on to the next stage! Impress me again and again, I have high hopes for you!" The Genius's lips parted apart, revealing his clean white fangs. His fingers gently but powerfully... snapped.

'Indeed! Being a devil... isn't very bad, mother! Look, now,' Ferrin's eyes lifted up, gazing at the monkeys chuckling at who knows what while marching towards him, 'I can feel no pain!'

"Lets... kill!" His lips stretched far, causing a small gap to form between his lips, from where... peeked out two thirsty fangs.

Not waiting for them to reach him, his feet moved! Still holding Aria within his tight grasp, he rushed admits the horrifying waves of monkeys and started... a slaughter. Or at least tried too.

Surrounded by monkeys on all sides, he used his large tail to smash them all back before letting out a loud, dominating roar.

Seilo gulped whilst taking Aoci's hand tightly into her's. She banged straight into the monkeys blocking her path and pushed them all aside.

"Where are you going?" Aoci glanced around, fearing the monkeys they had disturbed would start attacking them. Though her worries turned for naught as they still held no meaning to the Genius.

Seilo didn't reply and kept running, her eyes peeking straight through the monkeys and towards Ficko and Ano.

"FICKO!!" Seilo shouted loudly, her eyes desperately hoping for her to turn her head and... she did!

"CHASE AFTER HIM! WITHOUT HIM, WE WILL DIE! WE NEED HIM TO BE NEAR US, TO SURVIVE, WE NEED HIM!" Seilo's eyes pierced straight into Ficko's, her feet freezing in wait of her.

After a momentary daze, Ficko closed her agape jaw and nodded her head, "I WILL!" Her grip upon Ano's hand tightened and she started dragging her away. Not wanting time asking for her opinion, which would've certainly been questionable.

Seilo smiled, her eyes flickering strangely, her lips moved slightly and gently, keeping her words secure from Aoci, "I am sorry!"

The smile faded, along with her relieved expression. Her head moved around in circle, her eyes darting left and right, as if in search.

After spotting a rather familiar face, a small smile crept atop her face again before withdrawing once more.

"Lets go, Aoci!"

Aoci, barely having time to catch her breath started getting dragged once more.

A monkey hissed loudly while holding its ground, just as Ferrin's tail swept past it, it chuckled and leaped forward. Its stained claws glistened under the blinding sunlight as they drove through the air, piercing through a body of flesh and peeking out from the other side.

'Pain!' Ferrin's eyes flickered as he gazed down, his tail stopping for an instance. 'Wait! This... is no game!' Ferrin's eyes shot up, glancing at the wide smirks across the monkey's face, their disgusting yellow fangs escaping out of their mouth.

'I can smell it... this is... not over!' His eyes widened slightly, a smile stretched across his face. Not because he liked the thought of death but because... he could feel her!

His eyes moved left and right, his heart beating gently and calmly. A scent slowly drifted inside his nose, causing him to feel as if he could soar in the skies and roar at the world, the thrill encompassed him and soothed his brain from inside out. She... had arrived!

"GET AWAY FROM HIM!"

His mind froze as metallic silvery-white hair flew across his eyes. His heart froze in its place, his chest rose higher and higher as he inhaled deeply, closing his eyes and enjoying the scent that felt straight out of paradise. 'She... who is she? To make me... feel this?'

'She's here! Haha! We meet again! Oh! My dear As_' Ferrin's eyes shot wide open, his eyes lost in something.

'What?... Did my mind just... talk on its own? Wh-Who is it? Who was it?' Ferrin's feet involuntarily stumbled back, 'Wha...' His eyes shivered in dread, his heart throbbed slowly but loudly inside his ears. Causing him to feel numb, his teeth clattered together, his erect fingers twitching from time to time. 'Ferrin... are you Ferrin? No... I had been saying it all along... But I just never knew it was this bad... I thought Ferrin was being devoured but... Ferrin isn't even Ferrin... now, is he?'

Ferrin's eyes hadn't even cleared up as his surroundings had already started soaking in the blood of those preposterous beings that had dared lifted their fingers against him.

Hinomi's body flickered left and right, everywhere she flashed, only the blinding evil glint of her bloody spear remained... and the monkey corpses all around it decorating the bloody crescent moon shape afterimage of her spear.

Her bloody eyes gazed left and right, her lips morphed into a heinous snicker. Her presence stirred the emotionless monkeys into freezing still like statues.

As her ferocious gaze turned behind, noticing the unmoving Ferrin, her blood-thirsty gaze retreated back inside, turning into a serene and gentle look. She gulped while flicking her spear, causing the blood on it to stain the already dyed ground and called out in a timid voice, "He-Hey, monkey!"

Ferrin's eyes trembled, as his heart rose high into the sky. Without even noticing the agony Aria had been controlling, a smile bloomed on his face. Like the voice had cast a hideous spell, all his worry flew away into the sky, replaced by pure ecstasy. With a heart that had overwhelmed all his fear, he turned around, Aria in hand and gazed straight inside Hinomi's blood-colored eyes.

A small smile stretched atop Hinomi's face, as she gazed at his perfectly fine and healthy face. No wound anywhere on his body, his left eye clear like the ocean.

"...In a tight situation, huh?" Hinomi gazed back at the monkeys, whose rhythmic sound of steps had stirred her heart to its core, drilling inside an oppressing pressure as she clearly for once took in their horrifying numbers.

"Yea." Ferrin's eyes squeezed together as his ears twitched every time the monkeys stepped forward, his lips morphed in scorn at having been interrupted.

"She's injured!" Hinomi's eyes widened as she gazed at Aria whose clothes had been drenched in her own blood, her hair, stuck to her ears, shone off a bloody glow.

Ferrin, who finally had the rationality to gaze at his mother and clearly take in her appearance, exhaled heavily. His fur slowly rising up on end, his eyes gazed at the sky, desiring to pierce through it and gaze upon whomever resided the highest and wanting to ask him... Why? What had she done... to deserve this?

Hinomi took in a deep breath and sighed heavily - a fruitless attempt of trying to knock out her rage, "Leave! Take her to safety! Leave things here to me, I will take your revenge for you!" Her lips stretched apart in mockery. A teasing smile greeting the monkeys chuckles in return. "I already have a grudge I have to fulfill, keeping your hate in mind as I reap out their souls and state my tongue with them... won't be too difficult." A chuckle escaped out of her lips. Her blood-colored eyes devoid of any desire or emotion, lost somewhere... or in someone who had no way of returning to her.

"Can you... survive?" Ferrin asked, still in his monkey voice.

"Worry more for her, monkey! You don't know yet... what it means to lose something in these accursed nightmares and its best... you don't, ever, learn this agony! Leave me be... I am fine. I don't need your concern. His... is already enough for me!" Her lost eyes brightened up, gazing at somebody... that only she could.

"Then you better don't die either! If you don't want me to know this so-called agony you speak off!" Ferrin's eyes drifted away from her back and rushed right past her, into the monkey horde.

Hinomi's dull smile froze atop her lips, her eyes gazing at his figure vanishing admits the monkeys, causing stirs among them, 'Why... are you so like him? Hey...' Her eyes glistened due to the water piled at their corners, her voice quivered as she murmured to herself, "I don't have the strength to face someone like him... leave me be! I am fine, all alone! With him." Her spear trembled admits her grip. Reminding her of her vow... of the blood she must spill.

Her eyes turned dull and cruel, an arrogant and enraged smirk stretched across her lips. Her feet stepped forward, rippling the blood on the ground before zooming past with a loud whoosh! The sun shone bright, glancing aloofly as she appeared near Ferrin and ripped to shreds whomever dared to reach out for him.

The Genius who kept smiling at her arrival, finally shifted his gaze at the group of 2 and 3 swiftly following behind at Ferrin, "These characters... have become unnecessary. Its time I help them reach their... climax!"

The Dwarf chuckled, understanding its master's hidden, underlying intent. Its green eyes growled loudly for blood, as he gazed down at Aria, secured and locked between Ferrin's hand. A chuckle escaped its lips, as it licked its lips in excitement at what would soon play out.
