Under Ferrin's watchful eyes, two days passed by peacefully with nothing major going on, but Aria had yet to wake up which frightened Ferrin quite a bit, currently his fear and worry had already started turning into anger that just wanted to burst out on the doctor.
Ferrin grabbed a few bags from the counter and started taking some food to take up stairs, as he was doing so, he heard somebody walking inside the supermarket.
In pure reflex, Ferrin turned into a 6 feet plus tall monkey, his green hazy eyes kept surveying the sides of the stand that was covering his view of the door, his feet kept stepping back silently, trying to gain a larger view.
His large tail reached out gently and swiftly, taking hold of the top of the thick stand and he lifted himself up. He could finally see the three monkeys that had leisurely walked inside, 'They are forming groups now? Strange... that gigantic monkey hasn't appeared for a few days, the genius is no where to be seen and now the formation of these groups.
It feels as if things are progressing a little too rapidly, any kind of special monkey hasn't appeared either and the wounds on this form of mine had healed up without me knowing it either. There are still many, many things that I don't know.'
Ferrin's eyes squinted slightly as he stared at the monkeys, silently advancing towards the counter, 'But for now, all that I can do is deal with these monkeys!'
Ferrin dropped his bag and jumped down, 'Let me test something.'
The gentle tap of his feet landing on the ground didn't escape the other monkeys' ears. They immediately turned their heads and scrutinised Ferrin, appearing slightly confused at seeing him.
One of them flashed its dirty teeth and screeched, "You! You! Join us! Lets feast together."The other two monkeys burst forth into joyous laughter.
Ferrin also flashed his dirty monkey teeth and laughed "Kekekeke!" He nodded his head and started casually walking towards them.
As he inched closer, little by little his claws started peeking from beneath the fur, the blood-stained claws didn't escape the monkeys' eyes but the only thing they did was marvel at the way they had been stained.
"Wow! Wow! Wow! Your claws are something brother!" One of the monkey's clapped his hands in marvel.
"You praise me too high," Ferrin smiled humbly, as he reached them, "Foolish monkey!"
Only the swoosh of his claws was what reached the ears of the monkeys and maybe the sound of flesh being torn and blood splattering on the ground, walking gently and slowly while reaching the feet of the monkey.
"KEE!" Two monkeys jumped back in fright, while one stood in disbelief gazing at the deep wounds on its chest.
"Ke!" He screeched meekly while taking a step towards Ferrin's direction, its feet lost power and its knees slapped on the ground.
Ferrin ignored it and started walking forward but maybe... he shouldn't have.
The monkey grinned sarcastically and jumped towards Ferrin's, its sharp claws glinted under the dim light as they tore the flesh on Ferrin's back.
"KEE!" Ferrin let out a horrified screech as his back pushed forward from the pain. His tense arm's fingers twitched as if he wanted to grab something tightly. After a momentary pause, the two monkeys burst into joyous laughter followed shortly by the one behind Ferrin.
It flipped towards its two comrades and took cover behind them, covering its wounds with its furry claws.
'Shit! Shit! Shit!' Ferrin got himself together and also took a few step backwards, 'How the heck did I forget that these shitty monkeys are players? They tricked me the first time as well and they did it again! Screw you Ferrin!'
Ferrin slapped himself on the back of his head and nodded to himself, 'I also forgot the divine words I learned through anime, 'The enemy isn't killed until it doesn't exist anymore', from this day onwards, I Ferrin vow to myself that every monkey I find shall be turned into mincemeat!'
Ferrin firmed his heart and fiercely gazed the the monkeys, for some reason he ended up remembering his own words, 'Foolish monkey!' Ferrin slapped his own face. 'Screw you Ferrin!'
Ferrin tried to pick up what the trio were heatedly discussing with each other but couldn't hear much, 'I initially wanted to train myself a little for future situations but... I just seriously wanna... you know, get revenge!' Ferrin's body morphed instantly in the form of another 7 feet tall monkey, his eyes glowed ferociously and his body vanished without a trace.
His sharp claws pierced out of his fingers as he reached behind the injured monkey and swung down his claws.
The claws dug through its flesh, causing large amounts of blood to splatter on the ground yet again.
The monkey groaned in pain and kneeled down on the ground, the other two immediately made a run for it in shock and surprise. They felt their senses tingling terribly as they didn't even hear Ferrin moving from his location.
'Oh! I remember, there was another thing I wanted to know. This ability... I think its not teleportation.' Ferrin thought to himself as he stared at the retreating monkey. The monkey below him had already stopped squirming and laid flat on the ground.
'But,' Ferrin's eyes fell down, right when the monkey was trying to peek at him, "I AM NOT LETTING YOU OFF THIS TIME!" Ferrin's claws swung down again, the monkey tried to use its tail to deflect Ferrin's attack but it severed like butter under Ferrin's sharp claws.
But this nevertheless allowed the monkey to dash forward, it desperately tried running towards its two comrades but Ferrin's eyes lit up akin to green bulbs.
His body flickered forward, but this time, instead of appearing in front of the monkey, he thought of appearing in a path that aligned with the monkey's direction.
His body flickered again, it felt like every other time where he just found himself where he wished to be. He didn't feel any resistance this time either but when he looked back, he could see the monkey had crashed head first into the floor... he had struck it!
'Hmm... Strange, what is this power?' Ferrin put the thought away for now and decided to concentrate on what was already on his plate.
His eyes flickered as be appeared behind the monkey not getting up from the ground, 'I am not going to fall for yo-' Ferrin stared down in bewilderment, 'It-Its squashed!'
There was a big straight line where the monkey had been turned into mincemeat from. At first glance, it seemed as if something exceptionally heavy had fallen atop the monkey and killed it.
Ferrin gulped nervously, 'Strange. Is this my power? I mean... the power of this form of mine? Strange! Very strange! Just what coul- hey! What's that black thing?' Ferrin himself hadn't realised it... just how accustomed to blood he had became to not even flinch after seeing the squashed body of the monkey.
He reached down his hand and grabbed a shiny black crystal from the puddle of flesh and blood, the moment he held it, he could feel a strange energy flowing inside the crystal. 'I feel as if... I can absorb thi-' Ferrin's thought didn't even come to a complete stop when the crystal melted in his hand and vanished without a trace.
Ba-dump! Ba-dump!
Ferrin felt something strange, his heart rate started increasing slowly but surely. He reached out his hand and grabbed his shirt. 'Something... isn't right.'
His vision started spinning around him, his feet involuntary stepped in a random direction and stumbled after colliding with something.
'Save me!' Ferrin clenched his forehead tightly, 'This voice... it's not me!'
'Somebody... help!' Ferrin's body shivered in fright, 'WHOSE SPEAKING! SHOW YOURSELF!'
'UGHHH!! ITS COMING! ITS COMING! HELP! HELP IT WILL KILL ME! HELP ME! MOMMY! DADDY? SAVE ME!'
Ferrin's throat felt parched, a strange fear gripped his heart tightly, 'This voice... is it a kid?'
'UGHH! STAY AWAY! AWAY FROM ME!' Ferrin's vision changed into something else, he could see a monkey walking towards him leisurely.
He was looking at it from a low position, 'What is this? This, this... this isn't me! This body isn't mine! It won't listen to me! What is this?'
"AWWW!" A shrill scream escaped Ferrin's current body, he screamed till his throat went dry and couldn't make any more noise. His heart throbbed desperately in panic and fear.
'What is this? STAY AWAY FROM ME MONKEY!' Ferrin screamed inside his mind, even this mouth wouldn't listen to his commands.
The monkey did everything but that, its tail reached out rapidly and gripped Ferrin's small feet.
'Small! This feet is small, too small. Its like a 5 year old's, what's going on?!' Ferrin's small hand reached out and clawed at the tail, trying to get it off of him.
The monkey leaned forward, it grabbed Ferrin from his head and lifted him into the air, "UWAAA!" Tears fell out of his eyes, blurring his sight.
Ba-dump! Ba-dump!
'WHAT'S GOING ON? THIS FEAR! THIS HELPLESSNESS! THIS MISERY! ITS NOT MINE! ITS NOT ME! WHAT'S GOING ON!' Ferrin heart froze momentarily as he gazed at the monkey reaching down its head, 'No! NO!'
"UWAAAWWWW!" The desperate cries of the child turned into a bone-chilling scream as the monkey reached down its head and tore off his leg!
'AWWWW!' Ferrin's scream became in sync with the body's, body of them tried to break free of their shackles but both failed miserably and continued to suffer just that... Ferrin had to suffer twice due to some hideous reason.
Away from Ferrin's mind, the two remaining monkeys were wearily scrutinising Ferrin's throbbing body, neither of them knew the reason of why tears were flowing from his wobbly eyes like an open nut. But after sometime, they did acknowledge one thing... he was helpless.
One of them raised its tail and ferociously swung down on Ferrin's.
The two made eye-contact, without breaking it, the other one also raised its tail ans swung it down hard. The horrific force made sounds akin to fracturing of bones.
The two observed Ferrin, seeing him still lay motionlessly, both of them burst out into foolish and innocent laughter, "Kekekeke!"
Their eyes failed to display their innocence however, an extremely horrifying and evil light flickered in their eyes, their tails raised high in unison, thud! Thud! Thud! THUD!
The rhythmic sound like a drum being struck started echoing in the air, and like anybody normal, the two monkeys began dancing in sync with the sound of the creaking bones.
