Under the big oak tree in the small forest, four men were sitting on the ground simply and talking.
From time to time, they would create some magical spells in the open space, Emuel was demonstrating his spells and asking his uncles how to make things better. And they would also show their exclusive spells and explain the principles in them to him so he could get something from them.
Well, they have wanted to teach their nephew well but they are always busy so they took the chance of family reunion and decided to teach him well. Moreover, as someone from the God family, Emuel would also have to shoulder the responsibility while he could enjoy the good resources of family.
Although they're not arcanists who believe in equal exchange, they still accept the fact that they should give back something to their followers and believers and even to the mother planet.
They are not god of belief which system is very popular in other star territory god clans. However, they still choose to take risks, to protect their followers and defending abyss invasions. Although there's protection left by origin father in Tera, creatures under tier four can avoid the curse. So, they have to solve the tier four creatures as long as they appeared because tier four is already very strong enough to rival against a country which is only relying heavily on technology.
Titan family is one of the leading families of Tera God clan during these two thousands years period. At first, they didn't have strong power and influence, the top powerhouse was just demigod of tier four. It's until several decades ago, with the birth of Horus, they started to rise strongly and became a family with one true god and four lower gods.
If they also count their followers, they actually have dozens of demigods and hundreds of tier three and thousands of tier two powerhouses.
In the council, although there are six true gods holding the decision-making power, many active troops under their order actually come from God families of different dimensions. Most of their own influence were arranged in various places. But direct family members must enter the origin church to fulfill their duties once they reached adulthood, which is marked at seventeen years old.
The good thing is since Tera god clan mainly depend on power of bloodline, they don't care much about fighting for beliefs and they have produced countless gods since Tera was created. The current god council also decided to not develop secular power or a strong religion like bright church or creator sect.
However, it also brought disadvantages to them because their influence is very low, it caused them to have some bad relationship with the government as the government don't actually respect them or listen to their opinions. Society also don't know much about them.
The Titan family is the best example of this. They provided the government many advanced technologies which were researched and invented by Horus. However, their influence on government is lower than that of politicians.
This also caused them to stop providing the technology to government and cut off the ties and relationship between them. Of course, there were also many conflicts between the two as some wanted to capture the people with god bloodline and wanted to use on them to have longer lifespan and strong body. The result ended up with many deaths as Horus killed them with a world wide curse.
Since then, beside helping the government in handling on demons and underworld invasions as the council influence, Titan family has completely torn their faces. Once they met the politicians doing bad, they would kill them directly instead of handing them over to law enforcers and raising questions. They also ordered their followers to show no mercy.
But these alone couldn't kill the greed of some people completely. Since they don't dare to target the people with god bloodline with awe on power of God, they started to target the followers of God families and extraordinary people who don't unitedly live together.
Titan family was completely aware of these threats. So, they bought a whole county and built towns for their followers and other extraordinary humans. Many other families also followed this trend and they united the scattered people.
This also formed a trend that safe shelters called towns of God and origin church were built in various states.
Through Freemasonry organization they built, Titan family started put some influence on society, and they would also attract some precious intellectual people who are worth wooing from secular society. After wooing them, they would transform them with special serums or magic potions into extraordinary humans. The researchers society in God families are full of these people.
While taking a rest, Horus talked about their situation to Emuel. He needed to let him know these well as Emuel would have to take a post of Bishop in origin church and have to face various risks. So he let him know who are the friends and who are the enemies clearly.
After all, knowing these situations could help him a lot in making major decisions in the future.
Aftet telling all what he should to Emuel, Horus stood up and gestured the three to move out.
However, Rock was still teaching him, "Son, remember that only dead enemies are good enemies. When you face your enemies, you have to kill them directly. A lion hunts its prey with full strength. Remember that, never underestimate your enemies."
Lock assisted , "So, remember to finish your enemy well, because once your enemy ended up surviving by somehow, he would hate you, he will use every means to take revenge on you. Never give your enemy a chance."
Horus thought for a while and also added, " I only have one thing to remind you, son, we are not heroes, we are only a bunch of guys doing our own duties and protecting those who we want to protect. We are not bound by moral rules of secular world. And we have to put the interest of ourselves first, if someone is going to hurt us, even if he's a honorable hero, remember to solve him cleanly. Because sometimes, so called heroes themselves are the source of problems."
As a true god of knowledge and contract, Horus has a very special position in the council. He is almost omnipotent and omniscient. In most of contract ceremonies, extraordinary humans would read his honorable name to make the effective contract . As a true god, his authorities spread across the whole planet. No one dare to take advantage on a true god.
Since the law of contract of the whole planet is controlled by him completely, just by reading his name in the contract content as witness could make it effective. So, he asked the golden ring from Emuel and helped him by transforming it into god forsaken ring which he could break magic contracts without having to bear the punishment.
Rock is a lower god with two authorities of wind and fire while Lock holds two authorities of life and temperature. Although they're not oneness, they're also quite strong.
Since, Horus gave the gift, Rock also transformed the pair of shoes into wind blessed boot with fire resistance while the latter gave him a ring called ice fire ring which can create a small field which he could easily control the temperature inside the field.
While walking back, Horus specially told Emuel about contracts and some secret knowledge. Rock could only insert some noticeable knowledge while Lock simply gave him another huge gift which was a memory crystal about his researches in law of life.
The evening sun shined upon them and brought a shadow along the small road. Gods have no shadows.
