Chapter 3 - Library

In the library at the second floor of the building, one could see many bookshelves filled with various books as well as four sets of computer at a corner and comfortable couches near the windows. So, one could either read the books on the couch cozily or surf the internet with computers.

The children could also play various games with computers for one hour daily which might help them develop their brain better. The daily limit of gaming time would make them do other things like playing in the yard which would help them to improve their physical development and keep them fit.

This program was contributed by a think-tank team under Vanguard group. Mill specially spent a sum of money for it.

As soon as she got into the library, Rose walked to the bookshelves in a corner and took out a book from the second row. Label of the second row of this bookshelf is ancient Greek books collection.

She whispered gently,

"Hopefully, I can get something from this."

Astonishingly, the title of the book which Rose was holding is Gods of Hellenes ; written by Asteria Isbella. The original book is estimated to be written during ancient Greek era, which makes it one of oldest books in history. It was written in a special golden paper with a special ink. The book is still well preserved and kept in Mason's Museum. Even getting a copy of it is very rare because the original book is retained by Freemasons.

This seemingly small library is full of rare books around the world. Normal people would not even expect this. However not everyone can enter this small library which could protect the secrets well.

And even if they got in through some special ways, they would not be able to read the content of some important books. Because those important books were holding various curses in them.

On the couch near a window facing the east, Emuel is reading a book about mechanism and theories. From time to time, he would write down some issues on his notebook.

The complex explanations in it were giving him headaches since last month he started to study the knowledge in this book.

At that time, he was full of energy and confidence in himself. But the reality punched him hard.

Sometimes, he wonders if he has never had a talent in this field. But he never gave up, because he knew if he could learn something from this book, he might be able to use them well in his life.

At least he could be a mechanic. Probably ? He thought so.

After a year of study under several famous professors and two years of self study, he could finally read this last one book called perfect machines. But he found out some theories inside this book seemed written by crazy theorists.

Just like this one written by someone called Kiras Cezh, he wrote, "Once you give it a heart, it might be able to move on its own."

Emuel can swear to god that he never knew machines can have hearts. Or wait, did he mean "Energy furnace" ?

He seriously doubted his IQ since he started to read this book. There was also a guy claiming he gave life to a machine. Until Emuel had to take it as machine brain where complex instructions can be stored, he could finally continue to the next issue.

He has to admit, they seriously planned ahead of time although the terms are seriously different.

After spending countless time and energy which he could squeeze out to the limit, he finally reached the middle leaves of this book today.

But remembering what Mill told to him that her man solved this book in a week. Emuel felt that he could be a scumbag in learning.

Should he just stop this suffering? He felt depressed as he found out another troublesome theory in the current page he just turned over.

On the couch opposite of him, Rose lay down on it regardless of her image. After finding the most comfortable position, she tried to concentrate to read the book in her hands. Just on the first page, Rose got a big surprise, because she saw a signature on it ; Hunnab Ku.

Most of the people would not understand the weight of this name. But Rose is different, she was holding the only mother position of San Francisco Tera Church. Of course, their church personals are very few to the point, there are only several priests in each church. However, there is one bishop in each state, hundreds of cardinals on duty, and nine saints who walk around.

As head of female priests in her city, she is still quite knowledgeable. Hunnab Ku is actually, the mayan goddess holding the authority of fate and luck. As for how she knew and remembered, she heard it when she was asking her grandmother which gods have the highest authority of luck.

As for the reason, as a game scumbag, she always thinks there is a problem with her luck but not the skills. So, she tried to get blessings from luck gods. This might be the most serious and clear knowledge she ever had.

After suppressing the surprise in her heart, Rose continued to read the book. Two minutes passed, she couldn't help but let out a foul speech, "What the hell ! How did this happen?"

Emuel looked over because Rose's exclamation was abnormally loud. Looking at her lying on the couch without any image, he thought deeply. Yes, they are quite big. May be they took all the nutrients which should go to the brain?

While wiping out nonexistence nosebleeds, Emuel defended himself, lord, my blood are so strong.

He felt that he should find a girlfriend quickly. As an adolescent young man, he couldn't stand this kind of exciting views, especially the stunning figure and her white legs.

However, Emuel quickly put his focus back to the study of mechanic structure. After turning over the leave to the other page, he saw a machine which looks like a doll in overall.

And the worst news is the guy called Nizisk actually wrote "this is the perfect machine which is alive?"

Is this book just nonsense or are you taking me as stupid enough to believe this? Although, I might be stupid but I have read many books,ok? Don't lie to me like that!

Emuel showed middle finger to the book while cursing silently in his heart.

Although, he still couldn't understand how this would actually work, he decided to stop studying this nonsense book for some time and he planned to read the book Rose was reading.

Surely as he thought, Rose still couldn't pass her five minutes record. He only saw her flipped several leaves and dropped the book on the couch.

After that, she stretched and trotted towards the computer to play games. Yes, she is almost completely useless beside being able to cook delicious foods. And having a good youthful figure.

Emuel added the latter as he watched the moving back view. He really felt that he better got a girlfriend.

As for how he knew, Emuel had seen her doing this all the time. Her highest record might be four minutes and twelve seconds if he remembered it correctly.

And she sucks at playing games. One time, he watched her playing a game called DOTA and all he had seen was her dying again and again so much that her teammates just quit the game after scolding her.

Emuel put aside the complaints in his heart as he walked over and picked the book up from the couch to take a look at it.

Oh, records about gods? Emuel felt that he found a book to pass the time before he recovered his injured mind from studying that nonsense book. And then, he shall continue his studying journey again.

As for giving up? There would never be that word existing in his life dictionary. He believes so.

Emuel closed the nonsense book and his notebook and stacked the three books together. He decided to take them back to his room.

Because he understood that he could never read a book well in the library once Rose started playing games.

Just as his left foot passed the library door, Emuel heard the loud curse made by Rose. Yes, just as he thought, Rose would always be Rose. As for the reason, he could tell it out loud without going back to look.

She must have been scolded by her teammates again. Emuel wondered and complained why on earth this woman never read game instructions. He also knows the answer which is probably because she is too lazy to read.

As he closed the door, he felt that the world had never been so good and quiet without hearing vulgar sounds and curses. After taking a deep breath, Emuel went to the kitchen first to take snacks and drinks before he continued towards his room.
