Maria found herself frozen at a spot once again; she could not believe what she was seeing. Just when her eyes began to sting, the devil smiled at her. "Relax, it's not my blood."
"You idiot!"
Diablo snickered at her words. He pouted his lips and outstretched his arms. "I am sorry. Come, let me give you a hug."
"Stay away from me," Maria growled before gesturing with one of her hands for her men to search the premises.
"You know, before this rather rude interruption, you were all over me," he said with so much confidence that Maria had to do her best not to smack the smirk on his lips away with the barrel of her gun. She ran her eyes up and down his body, and Maria could not help but wonder if he had jumped into a pool full of blood. His hair dripped with the red liquid, and there were streams, trails, and specks of blood littered all over his face and bare torso.
He looked like a monster.
