Maria and baby Lorenzo drove under the mild early morning sun, listening to Mariah Carey's "without you." Lorenzo was strapped in the backseat in his baby chair; he occasionally looked out the window, and other times he would wiggle his toys around and babble all the way. Almost every thirty seconds, Maria found herself looking back to check on Lorenzo's state. It got to a point where the donna was scared; they might crash with how many times she kept looking back. Coupled with the fact that she was somewhat speeding, it was not like she wanted to, but she could not risk staying out with Lorenzo for too long.
It was at that moment that Maria wished she had brought some guards with her, but she hated being surrounded by them. She always felt that she could protect herself, and she always did. But how well could she when a defenseless soul was with her? Did she really make the right choice...?
