The two women stared at themselves in the mirror. The shorter one with purple hair was more than confident in her attire, but the taller one was not. She couldn't exactly say she was uncomfortable either; she just had an unsettling feeling at the pit of her stomach.
Jane huffed before grabbing Maria's shoulders and saying, "Ugh, lighten up! Nothing is going to happen! We are leaving with at least thirty bodyguards. What could possibly go wrong?"
Maria tried to convince herself that maybe she was just being paranoid, but she couldn't. Either way, she was capable of faking a smile. She needed to remind herself that Jane was pregnant and that she shouldn't be bringing her down or transferring any form of negative energy.
