BLOOD FOR LOVE - CHAPTER 69
Diablo watched with amusement as Alexandra hurriedly got off him and stood rigid. She looked at Benny and Deborah with wide eyes and red cheeks. It was kind of cute, Diablo thought.
"He tripped and pushed me down with him," Alexandra stuttered. Judging from the knowing smiles on the couple's faces, Alexandra's defence was invalid.
Deborah was next to speak, "No, we did not mean to interrupt. Carry on, you two!"
"Actually," Diablo started, earning the attention of everyone present. That was the thing about him. His presence alone was commanding and intimidating. He rose to his feet, putting most of his weight on his good leg. "I need to take care of something."
He did not wait for them to say anything before walking out of the living room. Diablo was a man who excelled when it came to hiding his emotions. It was probably why neither of them could see the storm that brewed in his mind.
