"Enjoy your sleepover?" Noah asked with an eyebrow raised as he looked me up and down from the centre of my bed. Languidly he lay with a book on car engines in his hands, looking just like an ancient scholar, a perfect gentleman. What a farce.
Ignoring him I walked straight over to my pile of belongings, fishing through the multiple bags for a change of clothes that would be comfortable. The line of my pants felt tight as I bent over to reach my underwear. I needed to find a maternity store when we leave.
Noticing he was still staring, waiting for an answer I quipped, "sure, it was fun," and stormed out of the room to shower away my rotten mood.
Unfortunately, Noah was still reading his book in the middle of my bed, as if he owned the damn thing. I was tired. Before showering I'd vomited up all the breakfast Alex had piled down my throat.
