"Why are you bleeding?" Silas tossed the duvet off the double bed we shared and awkwardly lifted my leg to look at the patch of blood on the sheet under me.
Blushing, I really wanted to know the answer too. There was some pain in my lower abdomen, but System was soothing it into a mild, manageable ache.
Lately, my chest had begun to feel sore and itchy.
"Puberty," I repeated the explanation System was prattling inside my mind, "I'm having a period."
Silas let go of my leg letting it drop onto the bed, "what's that?"
Even if I spoke the words, it did not mean I understood them.
It had been six months since I entered this body. System had been making some adjustments, undoing some of the things the Seniors had done to it. One of which had something to do with hormones.
"It's because I am a girl," I could only explain.
