Chapter 21 - The Remnants Of Augustine

Tristan Storm walked towards a statue of a man he greatly admired, he had long curly black hair and was wearing a red cloak. Behind him were several others, just like him wearing the red cloak.

The Red cloak had a marking of a basilisk's head Pierced by a sword. This was the mark of the Augustine family which he used to serve as one of the guardian knights.

" Sir Tristan." Someone interrupted when he was paying his respect to his lord but Tristan continued to do what he was doing. Drawing his blade he pierced the ground five times and stood up.

" What is it Savannah?" He asked, a woman with long brown hair was the one who called to him before. " You have just returned I guess, and you are already being this loud." Tristan laughed, he had a scary face but his smile was real when it was towards his comrades.

" We were able to find more if we count the numbers of warriors, there are now more than five hundred." She said.

" I guess it's enough men to take down a puny kingdom."

" I don't think we should underestimate them this much?" Savannah asked.

" Each of the Augustine knights here can take on hundreds of them. I bet I can kill more than thousands." He said, " Besides it's not like we are going to start a full-scale war just yet. For the red sky to come, there is still one year. We will launch this small scale attack and send a message to the world and the youngest about our existence."

" I am not worried about losing our lives, what if our hope, the youngest doesn't come."

" Savannah, you are seeing that statue. You may be too young at that time my daughter, but this was the man I dedicated my life to. He was happy when you were born and had given you a name himself. So kind, so brave and a truly wise king. Even when his son and family were being hunted down he tried to make sure that we are safe." Tristan said as he remembered the last order he had received from his master, which was to save the remaining knights and civilians of Augustine.

" We owe our lives to him so If anyone of his lineage is alive. I will blindly follow him even if he would be using us for destroying this world, besides, this world needs to be destroyed." Tristan said.

Savannah had complex feelings about this she wanted to tell her father what he might be doing was not the right thing. However, she was never able to because his father became more and more insane about revenge every time she saw her nowadays.

Savannah walked to her room, there were several things in that room that she had been able to collect through various raids they have conducted on the empire and kingdom. The empire and the kingdom are only situated on one continent and for some reason, they are not ready to leave the continent at any cost.

She read through various journals about what was on the other continents but only found that it was occupied by originals. There is always a war going on between them, and it was thanks to the treaty that the dragon Aesir and the originals have, that they don't try to attack this continent.

However, she had seen humanity grow under the protection of the dragon. They are highly underestimated, humans have been able to overcome their suffering and they are becoming strong.

It's not that the originals haven't noticed it, they are just waiting for someone else to start the war. On the day of the red sky, if as her father says and the youngest son of Augustine truly comes then the peace of humanity may be disrupted.

A great war will happen and various lives will be in danger, there is only one year left to the red sky. The remnants are going to start a war with the kingdom of BrenSol in four months and send a message to the world and the youngest.

The thought of starting a war and getting so many people involved in bloodshed made Savannah tremble. She didn't want to do it but had no choice other than that and could only pray for a peaceful outcome.

-:4 Months Later:-

" Look a man is walking towards us," A military guard on watch duty tells the other guard.

When the other guard started to see through his telescope he could see a man walking with a hammer and a sword in his hand. Suddenly out of nowhere, they heard a scream of a beast from the sky and they could see several reptiles like beasts with wings flying in the sky. The barrier of the border was active so it was not possible for any beast to trespass through however any human attack could pass through.

Tristan easily walked inside the barriers, the men riding the beasts in the sky and Jumping on the ground with weapons in their hands. The guards were able to inform the military as a loud emergency siren rang on the outpost.

Soldiers started to gather and were ready to fight, they were just forty knights or less than that. When the military official received this info they didn't think it would be a dangerous confrontation.

However, as soon as the fight started they were proven wrong, Tristan used his hammer imbued with his aura which was green in colour. He smashed one part of the wall that was considered strong in just one hit giving way for him to enter and even making the surrounding wall collapse.

The knights started to walk through that part of the wall. Seeing what happened with the wall no one was ready to face Tristan who was the one leading the group.

" I- Inform the General, they are not humans." One of the higher officials said in a shaking voice. Seeing those who were brave enough to go fight and just die like flies one after another.

" For Augustine, For My King!" Tristan shouted and the same was done by the other knights before they started causing the mayhem.
