Jason's Pov
Appearing outside of the council of elders tent, I immediately walked in expecting to see my Dad, Nina, Amentha, Vida, and some other elders but I was quite surprised when all I saw was Yaya sitting with Irene whose pale skin glistened under the candles littered around.
"Jason..." Yaya called out as she looked up at me. "You are here..." She spoke slowly with a smile on her lips.
"Yes, I am..." I answered softly, my words barely audible.
"Where are the other elders?" I asked, looking around the large tent.
"They've all retired to their tents." Replied Irene.
"What about My Dad, and Nina?.... I thought I'll meet them here at least." I questioned one more.
"Well...they left a couple of minutes before you arrived." Yaya simply said as she gestured for me to sit, which I declined.
