Jason's Pov
As I stared down at the midnight dark-haired woman that was currently sleeping in my arms; her soft, warm breath tickled my neck as she snuggled closer into my chest. My heart fluttered at the fact that, right now, she looked so damn peaceful and content.
I kept on stroking her hair as I thought back to all that she said earlier and I was itching to know how things were at the council of elders tent.
One thing I knew for sure was that attacking a fellow member to the point of trying to kill them came with great consequences and punishments and I wanted to know what would happen to Amentha after they gave their verdict.
Also, I needed to report to Yaya concerning what Aurora said about her powers. So since she was asleep now I
took the opportunity to leave quietly slipping from underneath the blanket as she didn't even stir, I placed her head down on the pillow and quickly pulled the blankets up to cover her up again.
