Aurora's POV
The cold night wind brushed lightly over my skin, and if it wasn't for the campfire that burned brightly in front of me, I'm pretty sure I would have been shaking like a leaf. I glanced up at the dark sky above me, the stars twinkling gently. The cool air was refreshing; the moon was bright, casting enough illumination that the camp was lit well enough for me to see everything around me. I let out a small sigh, before returning my gaze to the burning fire and the people huddled around it.
As I sat on the log with the fire providing most of its heat for the moment, and the stars twinkling in the sky above, I couldn't help but feel at least a little content.
The last few days have been a rollercoaster of emotions for me and sometimes I felt like the way I reacted to some situations made me appear weak and at times I felt almost numb from it all.
