Jason's POV
"Are you okay?" Amentha asked me, her voice sounding worried. "You look a little... off." She added.
We had just finished a meeting with the council and things didn't go well, especially with Eryain starting up an argument which led to a fight between him and another member forcing the elders into dismissing everyone.
"I'm fine," I reply as we both walk back to the main camp. The trees around us were filled with the sound of birds singing loudly and it was quiet enough to hear each other's footsteps.
"Just thinking-" I added, pausing for a little while and she hummed in response, showing that I should continue and so I decided to add, "about what happened earlier today in the council meeting." I finished and she sighed.
