Chapter 143 - Still grieving

Elaine's POV

"You knew he would kill him," I whispered, my voice breaking and tears falling from my eyes as I stared at Jason's lifeless body where he was laid, not bothering to look up at the woman who stood a little afar off from me.

"My son would still be alive if you hadn't told him about what we are." I spat out in anger.

"One can not fight destiny. What is meant to be will be." She said calmly, causing me to look up at her.

Her hands were clasped behind her back, giving the impression that she wasn't bothered by what happened. "Destiny? Who cares about fate!" I yelled in anger, walking over closer to her.

"You told me that he was destined to kill Khan and not the other way round. He didn't deserve this kind of fate...He didn't!"

Tears streamed down my face, and my arms shook slightly as I tried to hold myself together. "He was too young." I choked out sobbing more as I felt myself break.
