Author's POV
"I'm listening." The dark lord had the usual deadpan expression on his face as he lounged comfortably on his throne. It was rare to see him so relaxed and laid back, but it brought a small amount of relief to the man with an iron mask covering half of his face.
"My Lord, it is done." He stated as he dropped into a deep. The room went quiet after that as Eryain waited for the dark lord to speak again waiting as the seconds passed by growing into minutes and the silence continued.
"You have done well. I guess I don't need to kill you anymore then." The dark lord said calmly as he finally rose to his feet, and Eryain gulped at those words he said. So he was planning on killing him if he hadn't succeeded in the tasks he gave to him? He thought to himself as he shook his head inwardly in bewilderment.
